There has to be something unholy about having a liquor store attached to a gas station. It was getting close to 9:00 PM, so I stopped at this dank little place to get my fix. It was dimly lit and bit creepy, and it felt like I was entering the den of sin from the outside. Was I going to make it out of here alive?
When I opened the old door, much to my surprise the liquor store was spacious, immaculately clean, and a cheerful, attractive young lady was at the counter eager to help me out. I'm pretty sure there were angels singing the Hallelujah chorus, too. There was a wide assortment to choose from. OK, not compared to Spec's downtown, but compared to most small liquor stores, this one is definitely a step up. And unlike other small liquor stores who tack on a couple extra dollars to each bottle, the prices at Coyote were comparable to Spec's.

Just paid $2.25 more for my liquor (than at Specs/Kemah which is only about 5 minutes away) and $3.00 more for a Qt. of milk anyplace else, (if it was marked I would not have even picked it up), all because I didn't want to turnaround on Marina Bay to go down the road a mile.
