A True Beacon of Compassion in Leavenworth, Kansas 🐈⬛🐈
After moving to Leavenworth a few months ago, I discovered a place that has truly made a difference in my life—Hope Animal Shelter and Thrift Store. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with nothing but kindness, support, and genuine care.
A heartfelt thank you to Dawn, who works in the thrift store, and Jen, who cares for the animals. These two incredible women embody the spirit of Hope. Through their compassion and encouragement, I was able to adopt two amazing companions: Odyssey, a beautiful two-year-old black domestic shorthair, and Yang-gi, a gentle and loving five-year-old male tabby tiger. As someone working to get back on my feet, the warmth and humanity shown by Dawn and Jen have meant the world to me. This planet needs more places like Hope—and more people like them.
If you’re looking for a place filled with heart, purpose, and community, this is it.

It's not worth my time to deal with someone who shouldn't ever deal with the public. I'll try somewhere...
