It’s a pretty nice store with loads of different games. I’ve been in a couple times and there’s always something to be desired when it comes to customer service. I’m sure it’s different if you’re a regular but I’m not. The customer experience is what drives sales in a brick and mortar business. Not being able to make cash change for a customer wanting to pay cash is an issue. As a customer I’m helping your business by spending money in your store. Being told “I can’t make change for that” ($30 in change) doesn’t seem like a great way to do in store business.
Here’s where great customer service would have made the difference. “I’m sorry but I can’t make change for that unfortunately. What I can do if you don’t want to go somewhere and break that bill is I can offer you something else at say 15% off for the inconvenience. How’s that?” That DID NOT happen. It was “I can’t break that” end of conversation. The business owner was going to let me walk out the door no sale at all because the business could not accommodate a paying customer.
TLDR - don’t go in with too much cash. Take a debit card or you may not get to make a purchase. SMH
Edit after response - After looking at other negative reviews and the response that follows there is a clear lack of accountability and an endless need to be right. Justifying bad customer service by putting it back on the customer with an attitude, instead of being sympathetic and problem solving. That is a personality and lack of people...
Read moreAlmost 7 years ago I first walked into this store to look around. I saw some battletech figures and I got them! The owner and her husband were incredibly nice and the husband even offered to teach me to play Battletech! at the time I declined that offer but I was back, and I did learn! Have been playing that game here nearly every month now. I bought more things from them and became, I think, more than just a customer but a friend to them. So this review may be a little biased! I get most of my roleplay books, miniatures, paints, brushes for mini painting here. Now CCYDNE is in their new retail space and they are still expanding their merchandise to the corners of this new space! I am still so excited to see them grow...
Read moreEdit: absolutely reasonable response from the owners. Updating to 5 until I can come back and give the place a fair shot.
Original review: Well the sign, website, and voicemail all say they open at 10 on Saturdays. I wait an extra hour and called the number they had listed on Google and a different number they had listed on the door meant for curbside pickup. No response. Then I went on their Facebook page and emailed them saying if I could get an idea of when they would open that I would just go stall and go grab some lunch but I had driven 45 minutes to get there. I still haven’t heard back from them so I guess I wasted my time. It’s a real bummer because there just aren’t game stores...
