Woke this morning with a strong craving for fresh cinnamon rolls. I quickly jumped on the web and Google "best in lebanon" Read a few opinions and decided to go to elm Street eatery. I couldn't have been any more disappointed than I was. … More

Their decor is a little bit confused with half Jesus oriented, and the other sarcastic signage about trying not to hurt people. The food was basic diner food. The white gravy was not great, but the hashbrowns were very decent. … More Photo 1 in review by Lydia Trowbridge Photo 2 in review by Lydia Trowbridge Photo 3 in review by Lydia Trowbridge Photo 4 in review by Lydia Trowbridge+2
Andrew Seigrist Local Guide·39 reviews·46 photos 3 weeks ago New Breakfast | $10–20 A fantastic place to eat. We came for breakfast and the plates were amazing. Giant pancakes, bacon cooked perfectly. Coffee was great and the ladies working as servers were so kind and nice. I highly recommend Elm Street Eatery and will be back often. … More Photo 1 in review by Andrew Seigrist Photo 2 in review by Andrew Seigrist Photo 3 in review by Andrew Seigrist

I quickly jumped on the web and Google "best in lebanon" Read a few opinions and decided to go to elm Street eatery. I couldn't have been any more disappointed than I was. After all I'm from Kansas city where cinnamon rolls are truly magical and it's with pride and love that at least a dozen or so restaurants serve them. I mean melt in your mouth warm big as a dinner plate gooey good cinnamon rolls. What I received at elm Street eatery couldn't have been anything further. Where to start.. rolls were barely warm and crusty hard. There wasn't gooey cinnamon sludge coming out in fact it was kinda cold and flakey it was about 60% the size of the plate and finally the icing... needless to say it was not steaming and didn't move at all (too cool) . I think it was an attempt at a cream cheese icing but it had a kinda funky zing to it. I prefer plain icing but cream cheese is acceptable if made right. So as far as the general overall impression of the place well it was OK+. A lot of unbussed tables and aggressive wait staff. I haven't had the food there except the rolls but generally the food being delivered to nearby tables smelled good and looked appetizing. It's taken me almost 2 years to finally wander into elm Street eatery and honestly I don't see myself going back for at least twice that long next time. So take it for what it's worth ..... I'd grade it a...
Read moreManagement puts profit before a animals life. Insulted my sister inlaw in front of the whole restaurant because we notified a waitress and the police that one of their customers had 3 dogs locked inside a hot SUV with the windows cracked only 1/8 “. The owner of the dogs came outside and told us her dogs were fine and to mind our own business. We drove around the corner to make a complaint at the PD. Then drove straight back to the restaurant to meet the rest of our party. Upon our return, the SUV was moved to a different parking spot. Now the front 2 windows open barely enough to slip 4 fingers thru. The police then came, checked the temp in car which by then had been moved and probably cooled a bit by ac before the ppl went back to eat their meal. Apparently they decided to leave before their food came without paying. Which we didn’t realize until she went to pay our check and leave a hefty tip. The instant she signed the receipt, the manager loudly insulted her about the incident. Then made her way to the back quickly. When my brother asked to speak to her he was told she had nothing else to say and they wouldn't attempt to let her know she was requested. At that point he then decided to make all customers aware that the manager condones leaving pets in a hot car while their customer enjoys a nice sit down meal. The manager then came out and said we should of told her not the waitress or police and that we're not allowed there again. I told her to let them know I'm the one who called and they have my cell phone. As we where standing in the parking lot saying good bye ( family was in town attending my sons funeral yesterday) Two cop cars raced into the lot stating they where told there was a fist fight happening. There was no violence or threat of to the manager or anyone. When the police arrived they said she was right the dogs are not our business. My brother told them how the news in stl says to notify officials and break glass if dogs showing signs of distress. The officer informed us again that they're dogs are none of our business and if we ever broke any window to help a pet we'd be taken to jail no question and told us none of our parts ever allowed there again. No worry none of us would ever want to eat anywhere that puts there profits before any animals life. Being animal lovers this isn't the last they've heard about...
Read moreMy husband took me here for my birthday lunch today. It was our first and will be our last visit to Elm Street Eatery. Mac and cheese is listed as a "premium " side with an uo charge. It was cold, nasty, boxed mac n cheese. Nothing premium about it. I ordered loaded chicken as my main course. It was water logged and mealy. And stuck to my teeth like cotton. Very unpleasant. When our waitress checked to see how the food was, I was polite and honest with her about the chicken. Her reaction was odd. She was friendly, but was questioning me almost like I was exaggerating the chicken being gross. She said the chicken was marinated and was just making excuses for why it should be good. When i was like "no. Its definitely not good." She asked me if I wanted any sauce to help it... lol. I told her no thank you. She came back a second time and saw that i had pushed it away and wasnt eating it, so she offered to have it recooked. I told her that we didn't have time, but thanked her for the offer. At that point, we were waiting to pay and leave, but after came to the table and said they went ahead and put another one on the grill. So we waited another ten min and that chicken was no different. I told her it was still bad. She never offered to take it off the bill, no manager came to talk to me. That's no way to do business. A restaurant should stand by their food and I was just made to feel like I was just wrong. It was a weird, uncomfortable, and disappointing experience. $15 for a gross little chicken breast, boxed mac, and a...
