So I just went into our local gamestop. Decided to purchase a game i have been waiting for over 3 years to get released. I was barely acknowledged upon walking in. 3 employees on their cell phones. I got a welcome to game stop robotic greeting. I looked at the new release section on ps4 for the game I wanted to no avail. It was released yesterday. Decided to ask if they had it. One employee finished with his cell phone and without checking on the store till/ computer for an inventory check said yes. New obviously I'm not going to feed the dying corporation giant. Let me say I checked my local Walmart but due to a fire recently and store shutdown didn't have what I wanted. I was rang up for and paid rounded to the nearest 10 cents for my game. It was kept out of side till paid for no biggie but odd. I get home open the game the spine is cracked the game cover is ripped and the inner case has a fracture crack all the way across the bluray disc holder. The game was floating in the case and cant be put in place. Knowing game stop they sold out of this release kept the damaged copy and sold it to me knowing damn well. Normally I wouldn't blame the employees of this company that's going under for bs like this and other business practices. But the fact that the two other staff members where still engaged on their cell phones being 1 foot from thransaction begind the counter?!? Cmon. If I could gi e this last experience I will ever have a gamestop a 0 I would. And it's not worth the gas to take this back for what I know is well it's our only copy excuse. Instead I'll switch the case with a game I care less about. trade it in and record my inevitable " I could give you this but the box...
Read moreWorse experience! I wasn’t acknowledged at all.. Brett took his time talking with the previous customer, which is ok. I understand they are trying to sell more games and being friendly. But after a while talking, He gets a phone call and says, “let me finish, I’m not even gonna make u wait” so obviously when he was done he helped the person on the phone... and didn’t say a word to me. I continued patiently waiting... done with the phone call goes and helps the lady that was counting coins for who knows how long! And ask her if she was done so he could help her out... and of course not a word to me.. I ended up leaving and loosing more than 20mins... I don’t think he ever notice I was at the store. I felt ignored all the time. All I needed was to buy a new game.. less than 5mins...
Read moreI came in during black friday and was very impressed by everyone there. They all made sure everyone got the help they needed and kept a positive atmosphere around the store the whole time. They kept above the rush and pressure and made sure we were laughing at their jokes (and soft bickering at each other) while we waited in line. I think the one who check me out was named Brett? He was the "assistant manager" I think is what I heard them saying. Anyways he was really nice and made sure I got everything I wanted and went above and beyond what I was...
