We tried ordering on the app last Saturday because we were traveling through Lebanon and wanted to pick some dinner up. The app kept timing out and we were already passing through so we changed our minds and drove through. 30 minutes later we open our phone and the order went through on the app but we had far passed it so we called to let them know. The girl that answered said she didn't know how to credit back the account but to call the owner and he would correct it for us. For 2 days we tried to call the owner with no luck and no calls back. So 2 days later we called the store back and asked to speak with the manager. Well let's just say the manager should not be in the position she is. Apparently customer service skills must not be required for managers. We simply told her we could not get ahold of the owner and asked if she could help us either credit our card back or give us the meal we had ordered but never got. Before we could even finish speaking she rudely said there's nothing she could or would do and to call corporate. Well let's just say we all know there is more she could have done, like treat customers like human beings first of all. We will definitely be contacting corporate but I'll tell you we will not be going to this...
Read moreFirst off, right on the window they advertise $5 fill ups. When I walk in and tried to order the $5 fill up that they have on the commercials and their window, I was told by the cashier that their owner decided not to have that option. I was also informed that switching my side to coleslaw would cost an extra 30 cents which I reluctantly paid (every other KFC I've been to doesn't charge this). When my order was ready I picked it up, sat down and noticed that I was given mashed potatoes and gravy. I then looked at my receipt and noticed that they charged me 50 cents for the substitution. When I took the order back and informed them of the mistake along with the overcharge, I was told to keep the mashed potatoes so that they could keep the 20 cents. I find this highly unprofessional as most places would have just given me the right item and refunded me the difference due to their error. I must say, the owner is greedy and the employees are incompetent. I will not be going here again.
Also as a side note, the cashier told me to fill out their survey and complain...
Read moreI know a lot about both of these companies (KFC/A&W) and I'm sure Harman had their reasons for doing a combo store like this because KFC was getting a bad reputation but Yum's ideas for combo stores were designed to appease franchises while making the quality of one brand of food less than the other.
It's a shame that franchises can't focus one brand and stay loyal to it but this isn't a business and entrepreneurship college class, this is a review.
This A & W menu isn't the same your going to find in Sweet Home. In fact, I would prefer A & W food in Sweet Home over Lebanon. Even the location at the Chevron station on Hwy 34 and I5 is better.
I remember this first time I visited Albany in 1982 at the original A & W when it was across the street from Fred Meyer. While Harman has a combo store in Albany as well, it is the same situation where the KFC menu is better than the A & W menu.
A & W isn't a part of Yum anymore and I hope someday they can get their name off of these combo locations because their service to the brand name doesn't help...
