I love Sunshine Flowers, however, I do have a recurring issue with them. I have ordered from them maybe 6 or 7 times..once or twice a year. I live out of town and always order flowers for my mom from their website. Without fail, every single time, they'll call me within hours of me placing my order to tell me that what I ordered is not available and that they will make a different arrangement, but it will look just as nice. Don't get me wrong, the arrangements always look gorgeous, but at the end of the day, they're not what I ordered. When I see the pictures online, I am looking at the flowers and the vase, and this year they didn't have the flowers OR the vase! They said they had a similar looking vase and that they would use that. So I basically had no clue what they were going to deliver. I ended up not liking it because it was a dull shade of pink instead of the bright pink one I ordered, but my mom said she liked it so I guess that is what matters. And I thought maybe it was because I was only ordering a day or two in advance, so this year I ordered a week in advance and the same thing happened. I wish I had the luxury of going to the shop and picking out exactly what I want for my mom, but I don't, since I live in Memphis. Sunshine, please look at your online pictures and try to have things in stock because I really want to order from yall again, but you've done this to me on every order I can remember placing with you, and it is very frustrating. Like I said earlier though, the replacement arrangements are always very nice, so I'm still getting a nice product for the same value. I just wish my mom was getting what I thought...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fiance ordered flowers for her mother's birthday from Sunshine via the internet. She specifically requested that they be delivered to her mother's home on her birthday, January 2, and even paid for expedited delivery to ensure that it happened. Special instructions to deliver them to the house, leave them on the front porch if no one was home were included in a confirmation phone call my fiance placed after the internet order was placed.
First off, the florist attempted to call my fiance's mother to let her know that she had some flowers on the way (she was at work and unable to answer the phone). Second, the florist waited until ten minutes before they closed for the day to call my fiance and inform her that they were unable to contact her mother for delivery. Needless to say, her mother's birthday surprise got to her the day AFTER her birthday. It's not like anything elaborate was ordered and she lived twenty miles outside of town. No, it was a simple bouquet of Lillie's and her mother resides less than two miles from the florist shop.
Why wait until ten minutes before you close to notify someone of a problem? Why call the recipient of the surprise gift, when instructions were just to deliver them to the home? Why charge the additional funds for expedited delivery if delivery was not completed as instructed?
This is not the first issue either of us, my fiance and I, have had with Sunshine, but it will be my last...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked in with only 'a birthday' as information....I was panicked. I am a typical male of the species with no earthly idea of how to make something pretty or thoughtful. Luckily for me, and those of my ilk, there is Sunshine Flowers. I told the kind and helpful woman behind the counter ( I'm embarrassed that I don't even know her name) what I wanted to spend and a brief synopsis of what was going down. She then gave some choices about available flowers, what she could arrange them in and let me write a card myself (as opposed to a 'Good Luck' or 'Happy Birthday' pre-printed job). Since I was on my way out of town, she took my number and even texted me a picture of the finished arrangement when It was completed. It got delivered in a timely manner (that very afternoon!) and everything went smooth as silk. I could not be happier about my experience and will use Sunshine again in a heartbeat!...
