BEWARE the WICKED WITCH OF THE THRIFT! Just go to Salvation Army or the Blue Willow Hospice down the street. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times… Karens are the ones running the stores in Northern VA. So, so disappointed to say I will no longer be shopping at this location. It’s been a regular spot since I was in grade school but I just cannot handle the anxiety of going in after being verbally accosted by the cashier. She’s an older woman, short and heavy, with dark hair and glasses, and she speaks Spanish (I heard her yelling at another family in Spanish because their kid was playing with a toy that made noise). The usual manager that I’ve shopped with here has always been incredibly kind, accommodating and lovely. Same goes for the other employees. I’ve never , in the near decade I’ve been shopping here, had an issue with trying on a sweater in front of the mirror. They originally had fitting rooms, but shut those down (reasonable but tbh a little pretentious for a low rent thrift store). The entire consensus since then has been to throw on pieces in front of the courtesy mirror they hung up by the toy section. This last time in particular I had waited fifteen minutes for other patrons to finish trying on their items (annoying, but okay, price for a bargain). While my mother and I were trying on sweaters a woman brushed passed me and mumbled something. I didn’t hear a word of it, and we continued what we were doing. She came back with a dramatically pinched face and in an almost comically angry voice said “YOU CANNOT TRY ON THE CLOTHES!”. Im not sure what exactly her problem was with me specifically trying on clothes, as other patrons already had before me. My mother was about ready to say something nasty back, but I asked her not to for the sake of getting through the awkward interaction. Additionally, the patrons before me had left clothing on the rack beside the mirror. I left some items I didn’t want there as well. Because this is what everyone has done here. For years. We’re in line to check out and the same cashier walks up to the counter with an arm full of clothes. I wasn’t even paying attention to what she was holding. Here’s how the interaction went: Her: You dont want those things? Me: (Thinking she was referring the items I was about to check out on the counter as she said “those”) “Oh um, Im buying these…” Her: (Clutching the items from the rack tighter) “No, no, you dont want those?” Me: “Im trying to buy these.” Her: “No, no all these clothes you left of the rack back there. If you dont want them you can’t leave them back there, You have to put them back where you found them. I don’t have enough employees to put away all the clothes you take out.” Me: “…okay.” Her: “Don’t worry, I took care of it for you this time.” My Mom: “Of course you took care of it. That’s YOUR job.” I had to beg my mom not to say anything after that because I just wanted to get my items and GO. But of course, my mom was correct, I just didn’t want her to give this woman any more energy than needed. IT IS NOT A CONTRACT FOR SHOPPERS AT A STORE, ESPECIALLY AN UNORGANIZED THRIFT STORE, TO RETURN THEIR ITEMS. they should put in a specific return rack or, god for bid, bring back the fitting rooms if they’re so concerned with also having to reorganize the clothing that people aren’t even really able to try on. This does not happen at second hand stores, department stores, or boutiques. I understand theres a work shortage at the moment, but if it makes you miserable to see families shopping together at a thrift store on the weekends then you should probably review your particular line of work. Incredibly rude to my mother and I, we have both spent quite a bit of money there over the years but will never spend another penny there, or at any of the chain shops ever again. I can find pilled up Loft sweaters and stained H&M pretty much anywhere else. Also, this is just nit picking at this point, but the shoes and dresses are WAAAy over priced and that’s been a complaint of mine...

I found this shop. Today they are a good thrift shop they got a big selection of iteans staff are helpful i found 1 end table and a night stand at good price and one older NASCAR Dicast collectors item so it was a good day. This thrift store does a lot of good for the community. They can use donations from all. I do highly recommend. They keep getting more and more good stuff in here especially around the holiday times you can find a lot of good items for Christmas presents stocking stuffers and you never know what you might find was in here the other day found several things that had nothing they would have found a couple more pieces of furniture that I could use too and a little knick knacks as well this place is getting better and better this place we do highly recommend not only the buy from but...

I am proudly Hispanic, and I regret on this occasion that I have to speak badly of another Hispanic woman but that's how it is, the lady who works there is terrible at her job, she is always annoying when you come in with children, even though I am responsible for not destroying or throwing things away, but What bothers me the most is that everything increases the price only when she thinks it's something “nice”, I cross my fingers that she's not at the checkout because she will want to increase the cost with any excuse, I saw a previous review who talks about her, short person with black hair and glasses and also mentions that she gets upset if you try on a sweater or something, by the way she is always arrogant saying she...
