I’ve been a loyal customer of Del Rio for many years but today’s experience has me questioning whether I’ll return again. I have several complaints about today’s service but primarily the fact that after I ordered a drink + queso, no wait staff ever came back to my table until 1 hour/15min later❗️ Fortunately I wasn’t in a rush and I fully expected my waiter to say “sorry” for never returning to my table… instead, he became defensive with a rude attitude and questioned why I didn’t wave him down to get his attention. 😳 I explained to him that as a customer the expectation is that wait staff will return to the table rather than me having to wave my arms to get someone’s attention. He clearly did not agree and was rude the rest of my visit. The waiter (who was also bartending as well I believe) also said he thought the queso I ordered was “all I wanted” even though I never told anyone that the queso was “all” I intended to order but even if it was “all” I wanted SOMEONE on the wait staff should have come back to my table to bring the check or to ask if I wanted anything else to drink. 75 minutes is a long time to have a customer sitting there and no staff follow up in any way whatsoever and then to blame ME for the long wait was quite pathetic and at no time did this guy say “I’m sorry you were forgotten” or something along those lines. And it’s worth noting that the restaurant was not crowded during this time. The employee I’m referring to walked past my table repeatedly looking miserable to be at his job and never once during 75 min. did he look my direction. After I finally got to eat lunch I had hoped to see some sort of discount on my bill (or at least free queso) but NO, I was charged full price for my entire meal. As I was leaving I asked a waitress to tell me the name of the Manager and she said “I no speak English” so I left without knowing the manager’s name. If the bartender/ waiter who ignored me today for 75 min. is in fact the “Manager” all I can say is Lord help...
Read moreI surely will not be returning to Del Rio in Leesburg. Food was not any good. Correction, the rice was good. The meat for the tacos/nachos I'm certain was from a can. The refried beans were too. The pico was old, was refrigerated at too low of a temperature and the cilantro was very bruised/wilted/borderline bad. When I don't finish fajitas, there's a problem. My husband didn't eat but one of his tacos. (He'll eat about anything...) When the waitress asked if we needed a box, bc virtually nothing was touched, I told her no, and told her we didn't like the meal. (I complimented the nachos and rice. The nachos were /ok/.) I did this very politely and advised her we were finished. She smiled and started to clear the table. (No language barrier, she speaks perfect English.) She brought the check. $40 for food we did not eat. When I asked for a discount she advised she would check w the manager. She yells for the manager for a discount as she walks back to the bar. THE DISCOUNTED BILL WAS ALREADY PRINTED. The manager did not come over. No one asked what was wrong with the food nor asked if the situation could be fixed. The sheer lack of customer service, not even a shred of concern, has me mind blown. My husband commented while we were seated that Chef Ramsey needs to come visit. I'm pretty sure that the ingredients that came to the table that come canned or bagged, were. They gave me 15% off. It wasn't enough but I didn't argue it. I won't return, and I'll advise others to steer clear. (The real kicker? The wait staff sitting at the bar, where the manager was, were saying very rude things about my husband and I bc we complained. They didn't bother to speak quietly as they were under the assumption that I do not speak spanish. Well, I do, and I understood every word.) Here we are hours later and I'm still blown away at how unconcerned the manager was, and that he allowed the employees to speak badly about a customer on the floor, clearly within earshot of everyone in...
Read moreThis review is about an experience I witnessed regarding another patron. Through the years my family has eaten here and always had a wonderful experience, however, last night, June 10th, we witnessed the utmost disrespectful and unprofessional waitress who poorly handle a situation. She had a table with a young couple and I couldn't help overhearing the young lady explain the cheese dip was incorrect and had jalapeños in it, which they did not want. The waitress argued with the young lady and replied that they could not give her any without them as the dip came with them. She also never offered a drink refill. After arguing back and forth she decided to remove the dip from the bill but REFUSED to give the young couple the updated bill when they requested to see it!! Instead of showing them the updated bill, she called the police!! I was floored at this! The couple never refused to pay, in fact, their card was on the table, they simply wanted to review their bill, which is 1l0% their right! The waitress needs a new profession, because customer service certainly is not where she belongs! There was whispering and comments being said about her lack of professionalism. Then to make matters worse, she exited the restaurant to harass the young couple outside. Screaming at them to leave the premises. GET RID OF HER before you have no Customers at all or train her properly that the customer is...
