Spirit Halloween — Local services in Leesburg

Don't bother coming here. The good just doesn't outweigh the bad. There are other places you can order from, or maybe try a different Spirit store? I don't know.

I came here a couple of weeks ago, and got here a few minutes before they opened. There was an employee that looked at me through the gate and said "oh, great...". Oh well. She unlocks the gate so customers can come in at 11:05.

I looked around and thought the props were pretty cool. A few of them were broken, though, unfortunately. I noticed other items broken in the store as well that were for sale. I'm sure customers probably broke the stuff, but it should still be taken to the back and thrown out or something. Not still sitting on the shelf for sale.

As far as the store as a whole, the music is insanely loud in Spirit, and I have no idea why that is but it was like that last year as well. You can't even hear yourself think, and it's not even good or relevant music. Why not play some Halloween music? Monster Mash? Don't Fear the Reaper? This is Halloween? Just some suggestions instead of the old pop music playing. They have put out new stock since the last time I was here a few weeks prior to the last time so there are more costumes. As far as cleanliness of the store, it's clean enough I guess.

I love Halloween and I get really excited every year when we're approaching the holiday, because of the cool decorations available. I just don't understand why the employees in this store are so rude. I can't think of a single time that I've came to spirit and the employees were friendly. It really isn't hard to fake being nice even if you don't feel like it. I've worked customer service before, and always made the customer feel welcomed even if I was having a bad day. The staff is extremely helpful but the management thinks you are stealing if you happen to need to leave the store to use the bathroom (they don't have one there). I was shopping, had my items picked out then I felt sick so I had to leave fast but I left my son holding ALL the items we wanted to purchase while he stayed inside the store and away from the door. When I came back, we looked around some more and then I realized a female and a very large male were following us as well as giving us nasty looks. I was standing at the counter to pay and the female manager said loudly enough for me to hear (while looking directly at me) that she has no idea how much she lost. Then it hit me how odd it was that the one employee I asked about using the bathroom and she directed me to Barnes N Noble also ended up at the Barnes N Noble following me as I was leaving the bathroom. It wasn't odd at all, they sent her to follow me! Guess what? YOU LOST NOTHING AND I TOOK NOTHING!!! I was sick, had to leave and I came back to pay. I didn't leave your store with any merchandise when I had to use the bathroom and IF I didn't need the mask that day, I would have left everything there because your treatment to customers who need to walk out to use the restroom is horrible. Be prepared, if you shop there, they will wrongly assume you are shoplifting. Check your videos, WE NEVER PICKED UP ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT WE PURCHASED! after walking around the store for about 15 minutes one of the workers came up and said welcome to spirit and i was confused because i had been in for a while and didn’t say something right away and than he proceeded to run off outside the store and start yelling to his friend about how “disrespectful” everyone always is to him and absolutely went off at how upset he was that i didn’t thank him. he acted as if i couldn’t hear him saying all this about me. than when i went to purchase a beanie the cashier couldn’t ring it up cause it had no tag. he didn’t try to look it up or anything just said you can’t buy it. wasn’t helpful at all. and i had to walk out with nothing. the workers were absolutely disrespectful towards me the entire time i was in there. never felt so uncomfortable and unsafe in a...
