The only reason I stay is because it’s close. I took my daughter to open her first checking account. She had her learners permit and I had her original birth certificate plus all of my official ID like my drivers license and Zion’s Bank debit card. They told me that wasn’t enough and my daughter would have to have 2 forms of picture ID...apparently a high school student ID card is more believable than an original birth certificate and her mother sitting right next to her! So we drove home to get her student ID. Upon our return the overly confident guy tells me, “Oh, we need her social security number as well. Do you happen to have that?” To say I was frustrated doesn’t begin to explain how I was feeling. We were now out of time and I had to just set up my account for a direct deposit for my daughters new job. When I called customer service all the lady could tell me was that it was the Patriot Act that is causing my daughter to have to have 2 forms of picture ID and that I couldn’t vouch for my own daughter even though I had proper ID AND had several accounts at Zion’s Bank. She also told me I had to stop thinking like an honest person in order to understand where they’re coming from. SERIOUSLY???? Their customer service has just gone down hill over the last few years and it is SO...
Read moreWorst bank I have done business with. Tellers seem poorly trained and incompetent. I opened an account with them and deposited a check, the teller told me it would be available in 24 hours. I came back the next day and I was told it was actually a 2 day hold and that I should come back the next day. I came back the next day and it turns out that since it's a new account that it actually has a 9 day hold on the check which I was not informed about and I feel that this should've been common knowledge for tellers that work at the bank. Not only does the bank staff display a horrendous level of incompetence, but the bank closed my account because of an issue with my credit check. I'm sorry that I'm not a perfect human being but I had a good starting balance in the bank, over 5000$, and I don't see why a mistake with another bank should automatically disqualify me, and that Zion's didn't have the decency to call me and let me know that they were closing the account and that I had to physically walk in and ask what was wrong with my account. Do not...
Read moreWorst customer service experience ever, stood in a 25 minute line with only 2 tellers. Both of whom we were walking all around the place just to complete simple transactions for customers. Meanwhile, they're also helping the drive thru line while there are 4 people sitting at their desks in the back. I was simply there to buy tickets to an event, finally my turn and am told they only take cash or check both of which I didn't have on me. You would think they'd have a sign indicating so, but of course they didn't. Then when the teller who looked like she had no clue what she was doing, tried to do a cash advance on my credit card (which I use everyday) and tells me it's declined. Mind you my I had more than enough funds. After half an hour there with 3 kids, I walked out empty handed with no help whatsoever from a rude teller. If you want to experience how they banked in the 1900's, this is the...
