Personally I really liked working here, (except for ultra working under tom) I worked in multiple departments, ultra (tom), Van Service (Eric and Rainn), FS (Tim and Gregg), Fab (Cliff and Tony), Trucking (Julie and Matt) I have enjoyed 8/9 of my supervisors that I had, they have been absolutely wonderful people and go above and beyond for their people. I have a great deal of respect for them in how they treat people and the atmosphere they provide in their departments. the HR team (Ashley and Chris) are also wonderful people, I cannot recommend this place enough, their truly is good leadership here and if you are willing to work hard they will definitely make you feel appreciated. I started out as a regular line worker, honestly I did not care for it and was looking for jobs else where, but then I had an interview with 2 other departments and I moved to both of them and had my days split between 2 departments, and I started to enjoy my work, I met great leadership and really cool co workers (Amber and Brian from vans, Chris from Bcap, Jeff from FS), then I decided I wanted to try and get my CDL-A license, so i put in my 2 weeks, and because I worked hard and was recognized for my work ethic, I was given an opportunity to switch to a different department so i can attend truck driving school and get my 40 hours of work a week, which helped so much, and once I graduated they offered me a position in their fleet. Read morePurchased a Bunn Ultra-2 frozen drink machine. It quit cooling after a week, spent one hour on the phone to troubleshoot, a technician was sent who went through a similar process, the compressor was declared bad. Then I get an email stating the service ticket has been closed! POOR QUALITY, BAD COMMUNICATION AND SO FAR LOUSY SERVICE. BUYER BEWARE.
Update: Bunn initially tried to get a refrigeration tech to make the repairs, but couldn't get anyone to return their calls. (it's 90+ degrees and high-season here so hvac people are only taking calls from existing customers) After calling several times, Bunn sent a complete new machine which seems to be working fine at this time. All of the people I worked with on this problem were great, I feel sorry they must have to deal with these early failures all the time. Bunn should invest in a better customer management software system, benchmark McMaster Carr or Amazon. Sounds like they work in silos so one dept isn't sure what the other is doing without speaking directly via a phone call. Plus 2 stars for the people who helped me.
UPDATE... The 2nd machine referenced in the original review failed 2-years later and the repair cost was too high to justify fixing. I unwittingly purchased another (3rd) Bunn ULTRA-2 which on the 6th day of operation has a failed shaft seal. This allowed the contents of the hopper to fill up the cooling barrel and made a huge mess. Bunn now wants my CC number prior to sending a service person on this warranty claim! Read moreI had my last bunn for almost 11 years. It was amazing. It developed a leak that could not be fixed, so I ordered a new one. I’ve had it a few months. I went to the website and order a speed brew. The GRB speed brew classic. THEY sent me a GRX-B (D) which is for high elevation. For the past month or two, it is consistently getting louder. When you make a pot it screams like a jet taking off. I tired everything the manual says and google to fix it, but it’s getting worse. I called customer service this morning after putting a ticket in. They tell me the model THEY shipped me was for a higher elevation and not here in Missouri. Yet, no offer to send me a different one or fix this one. They did state it will still brew fine, which it does, but the noise is so loud it can be heard over the tv while in another room… I feel like this is not acceptable and they should have tried to fix it or give me the correct model that THEY shipped. They clearly shipped me the wrong one without me knowing. I love bunn coffee makers but I’m not buying another one. I’m switching now. Good luck with all...
