There aren't enough stars to do Krystyna's Jewelry justice!
I was referred to Krystyna's by my best friends who both bought their fiance's engagement rings from Krystyna's. My first experience with Dorothy and her staff was when I went to buy my a diamond necklace for my "now fiance" Christmas present for our first Christmas together. I couldn't have been happier, it was beautiful and spot on for what I was looking for. I knew after that experience that I would be going to Krystyna's for my fiance's engagement ring. The experience was everything engagement ring shopping should be... fun... exciting.... from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. I worked with Dorothy and not once did I feel rushed or pushed into making a quick decision... she listened to what I was looking for and worked with me to find the perfect engagement ring for my fiance.
There were other customers but Dorothy's full attention was on me and that felt great... she listened and asked questions... she educated me and I felt as though I was in great hands... I couldn't have been happier leaving that store after finding the perfect ring for my fiance...
Dorothy was amazing even AFTER I got the ring... it had to be resized and we live in the city so I couldn't get to her as easily and 2 days from the day of the proposal we had an engagement party and my fiance really wanted to be able to wear it and Dorothy didn't even think twice about it... she made it happen... she sent us directly to her store in the city and the ring was re-sized in less than an hour!!! It was unbelievable.
My fiance was so happy that when she went to purchase my engagement ring she KNEW she wanted to go to Dorothy (AGAIN we live in the City... so not close).. the size was off.. Dorothy was out of town but again made it happen so that I could get my ring re-sized in less than an hour!
She even followed up with us same day to make sure it all worked out (WHILE SHE WAS ON VACATION!)... talk about customer service!!
I would highly highly highly encourage ANYONE who is in the market for jewelry to check out Krystyna's because when you're picking out jewelry for someone special or even yourself... it should be nothing less than amazing and Dorothy and her staff deliver just that... they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy!! Thank you again Dorothy for making such a special time in our lives that much more special!
We will be back to get our actual wedding rings from...
Read moreMy partner and I went in to look for and to get an idea for my engagement ring. I walked in knowing a lot of specifics of what I was looking for and she immediately said my ring is “not going to look good” and that what I was looking for “doesnt exist”. After showing her some pictures I found of rings she said previously “dont exist”, she pulled out some stuff for us to see while continuing to tell me what I was looking for was ugly and unsellable. I was pretty specific about what I was looking for and she pulled out some things and when I expressed to her that what were seeing here and at the other place we went to were different she immediately started calling the other woman we spoke with stupid and unprofessional. The only person I spoke to who was unprofessional was the woman working at Krystynas. If I could give lower stars than this I would. We were ready to put a deposit down the same day but calling the ring Ive been dreaming of for years ugly within minutes of walking in the door? weird. Maybe I think your rings ugly but I didnt say that because I have a basic level of respect for people and their personal preferences
Editing to respond to your reply. Theres no way to explain away the fact that I was told the ring I wanted was “ugly” and “not going to look good”. I dont think theres any other way to interpret the experience in your store. We obviously came here because the reviews were good and my partner purchased jewelry from you multiple times prior to this experience. I would think if you think someones custom ring is ugly you just keep your opinions to yourself and let them swipe their card and talk about it afterwards with your coworkers. Its not like it was constructive criticism or helping design the ring for better longevity or quality. I was told my ideas were ugly, unsellable and not going to look good. Which yes, I understand my taste is different than a basic teardrop solitaire with a hidden halo but theres no need be so...
Read moreMy (now) fiancé and I have been together for 7 1/2 years. We’ve spent SO many monumental moments together in those years and it only felt right that we search for my diamond and setting together. We live nearby and stumbled into Krystyna’s one Saturday afternoon. After gathering a better understanding of what it was we were looking for, Dorothy searched through international inventory to find and ship in several loose round diamonds for us to consider. We repeated this process a few more times to look at more diamonds under the microscope and the loupe until we had the perfect dainty ring! Coincidentally, Dorothy realized that it was also Sweetest Day! She made sure that I was completely in the dark about the final ring production and he proposed to my utmost shock and surprise on 12/20/20! Yes. There was happy tears.
There was never any pressure to purchase and Dorothy’s relaxed and friendly character made the experience that much more enjoyable. We had visited downtown’s Diamond District once but it felt like we were dealing with robots.
We both gained a significant amount of knowledge about diamonds and there is still so much more to learn. Do your homework! Dorothy answers questions openly and honestly and receives my girlfriend stamp of approval! Had my fiancé gone through the process solo, I would put my full trust in Dorothy’s expertise. Ring shopping is stressful and overwhelming so if you’re not doing it together with your partner, just know that Dorothy would have your back. We really loved that Krystyna’s Jewelry is local and family owned and they offer great terms for their gems/jewelry!
By the way, can we pause for a moment to acknowledge the show stopping ring box that my fiancé picked out at Krystyna’s? It has its own SPOTLIGHT when...
