My sister in law and I had appointments here yesterday at 4:45 and 4:50pm. I moved to Harrisburg 6 years ago and fell in love with this salon. I stopped going a few years back because I felt they prioritized other races. I’m African American and know that everything is not about race so I gave it time before actually deciding to stop frequenting this establishment. I decided to try them out again a few months ago and ended up getting Steven who not only made me feel valued but had taken very good care of my nails. Mary (the owner) is also very very sweet. Yesterday we showed up for our appointments on time and both Jennifer and Steven were ready for us and began. Two white women (I mean this in no malicious way at all)- who did not have an appointment came in to be serviced. Steven continued doing my nails- Jennifer put my sister in law in the pedicure chair and told her that Mary was on her way to service her and Jennifer then tended to the other women instead. I spoke up and asked that Jennifer please continue waiting on my sister in law and have the people that showed up without an appointment wait for Mary. I was quickly cut off and met with attitude. Of course the aggressive conversation on in their native language began and it was clear that it was about us. We always make an appointment, we ALWAYS tip well and still often are treated as if that wasn’t the case. The older white woman ended up leaving because she had to wait and they were so apologetic to her but didn’t utter an apology yo my sister in law. I sat in my car waiting for her to be finished because I didn’t want to get upset in their place of business. I left feeling disappointed...
Read moreI went here for a refill on nails I had done somewhere else and even after 3 weeks they were still ok but just needed a little love. The nail tech wasn't particularly friendly but that didn't bother me too much. She could have had a long day. Withing 4 days of this refill, 2 nails split in half horizontally. The pain on one of them was unbearable so I went back and asked her to fix this. The fix was the equivalent of putting a bandaid on a cut that needed sstitches. I asked for a white color on the 2 tjay she fixed and she put on a clear sparkly color. I was so over it and just let jer do it bc at that point I already decided that I was never coming back. 2 days later (today), half the nail polish on a 3rd nail peeled off. When I peeled off the remaining half of gel polish, IT LIFTED SOME OF THE ACRYLIC WITH IT. I don't know about their other services and other nail techs but do not go here for acrylics. I read some of the other reviews before I went and I opted to make my opinion about them and I'm glad I went bc it ruled this location out for me for me forever.
UPDATE: 3 days after my original post and a third nail has painfully cracked in half horizontally....
Read moreDefinitely had a bad experience today 2/15/19 came here a few times used to love it until everytime I came different ppl charged me different prices. was getting charged 25$ for a fill because they said my nails were long smh. Today the lady was rushing to do my nails and I shaped them wrong so I asked her to fix it she caught an attitude. Then she cut me as she was ho to do my nails. To top it off when she was polishing my nails she got it all on my cuticles since it was gel polish she couldnt fix it. Then I paid 35$ because she said my nails were long and she had to reshape them when I came in they were already shaped the way she shaped them to begin with. By far one of the worse experiences I've experienced. I will not be returning! Welp got my nails done on 2/15 and by 2/16 one of them broke. the lady Didnt take off the broken acrylic she just filed it down and added a tip. then Almoat cut me 2 different times! Then had the nerve to say take care of your nails because next time we will charge you! NEVER NEVER AGAIN CLEARLY THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO NAILS CORRECTLY OR EVEN GIVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE...
