I would say this is the best Thai I’ve tried in central pa. Hidden gem so sure. The service was excellent, I’m assuming she was the owner but she was so nice and welcoming. Very clean and nice inside. As for the food we got the Tom Yum Fried Rice but substitute chicken inside of seafood and the Thai basil with chicken. Also a Thai iced tea. Both entrees were packed with flavor and seasoned well. Flavor and seasoning is something we struggle with here at any Thai restaurant but this place definitely did not disappoint. Since the Thai basil was on the more saucer side we had to order extra rice which added up lot! They should increase the portion of the side of white rice. The portions are quite big too but the price point for the entrees is on the higher end for sure. So not your average let’s get Thai food on a Friday night type of place. Definitely a fancier date night spot. Definitely would go back to try the other dishes!

We had an amazing dinner at Charm Thai and can’t recommend it enough! We started with three appetizers: Golden Shrimps—crispy shrimp served in sweet chili sauce, seriously addictive! Then came the fried calamari and veggies, perfectly crisp and not greasy at all, and a flavorful steak salad with just the right amount of spice. For our main courses, we ordered the drunken noodles, Pad Thai, and Massaman curry—all packed with bold, authentic flavors. Every dish was cooked to perfection and so delicious that after snapping pics of the first two appetizers, we completely forgot to take more photos… that’s how good the food was, lol! The service was superb—Joy was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We also loved the modern Thai-style decor and the TV screen playing beautiful scenes of Thailand—it added such a warm and nostalgic touch. If you’re in the area and craving Thai, Charm Thai is a must-visit!

Passing through town after dropping one daughter off at camp on a Monday & I was craving Thai on the way home. Most Thai places are closed Mondays, but we were delighted to find Charm open, and boy did it hit the spot! We are from Baltimore, and I’ve been to Thailand, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to my Thai food. While not perfect (but not many places are!) and a bit pricey, Charm lived up to its name with a warm, inviting atmosphere, quick, friendly service, and delicious, large portions. We started with Thai Iced Teas, Tom Kha Chicken & Chicken Satay. All were super sweet and delicious. My husband can’t handle spice, and the Pad Thai Chicken & Beef Drunken Noodles were perfect for him and my daughter. The Red Curry Chicken had just a kick & made my tummy happy! We shared all of them and left stuffed with lots of leftovers.

Don’t be fooled by the other reviews that gave it a 5 star rating. Take it from an Asian American from Philly who has eaten some of the best and authentic Thai foods from different cities including Philly and NYC. This place wouldn’t even come close to being on that list of best Thai restaurants. Unfortunately, there aren’t any quality Thai restaurants in Central PA, and that’s a fact. Central PA lacks the authenticity and freshness of ingredients that other major cities execute in their dishes. For takeout, I got their drunken noodles with beef and Red curry with chicken. The drunken noodles lacked flavor in the sauce, you could barely taste any. The overcooked onions and the mushy broccoli were unappetizing. In addition, the beef was very dry and hard to chew. The red curry was better, but not by much. It was on the sweeter side, but also a bit too salty. It seems as if they were overcompensating for the flavor by over seasoning it. Again, both dishes lacked any freshness in their ingredients and the vegetables were overly cooked. On top of that, the rice was even overcooked. Mine had some browning. It makes me wonder if the other customers who rave about this place haven’t had better Thai food outside of Central PA. Because this is seriously not one of the best in the area. In fact, I would choose Bangkok Wok instead because at least they give you better portions and their drunken noodles don’t...

My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant and we could not be more happy that we did. What a "charming" place.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the papaya salad, drunken noodles and red curry (the latter two with tofu). Each was freshly and carefully prepared. Flavors were exquisite. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff.

Service was friendly and attentive. Contrary to some other reviews, the wait for our order was not unreasonable - and the place was pretty busy, including a fair amount of take out orders. If wait problems existed before, they don't exist now.

Because we had no reservation we sat at the bar/counter. It was very comfortable. My wife appreciated a little hook for her purse.

My only issue was that I had a view of food coming out of the kitchen and I kept interrupting our conversation to say "oh, that looks good, we should try that!"

We look forward to our next visit. This is now our place for fresh, flavorful, authentic Thai cuisine. We will make a reservation and...

I don't like writing bad reviews. However this needs to be said. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. I went with two friends, I ordered an entree, each of my friends ordered an appetizer and an entree. I got my food 1 hour and 10 minutes after ordering. This is not an exaggeration. One of my friends meals arrives 5 minutes after that and the other in another 5 minutes. They never got their appetizer and the waitress couldn't understand why they wanted to cancel the order for the appetizer after they got their entree. They also finished their drink while waiting and had to ask for a refill, soda cans were just put on the table, which they got charged for. Delivery drivers were standing at the counter asking when their orders were coming. The response was always 5 minutes. One stated "you told me that 20 minutes ago." People at other tables were walking out with ever getting their food. Unless this place gets their service straightened out it won't be in business...
