Lenexa Community Center — Local services in Lenexa

Went here for a wedding reception and had to assist with other friends and family with the event. You can rent the place as a venue and their basketball size court is pretty roomy for a lot of people for over 500 people and still plenty of room to dance, have a stage and a band. The only problem I have with this place is that you can only rent certain times and you can't decorate the day before which could have been easier instead of feeling so rush. The place is very cool and breezy, so you don't have to worry about AC during the summer. They also set out the tables and chairs for you as well and they have a kitchen too. Great place for pickleball, they have ping pong as well, although I have not played that. Not nearly as much to offer compared to other community centers that have many more activities and lavish facilities, but the pickleball courts here are more pleasurable since they are less confining. Here, you have much more room at both ends and the sides of the court compared to the new rec center and the Olathe community center. Price just went up to two dollars, which is a buck cheaper...

I was participating in an exhibition and in the 8 hours that the event showed the electricity went out no less than 10 times. From one o'clock in the afternoon (the event started at 12 noon) until 7 o'clock when the technician finally arrived 6 hours after notifying him; which of course affected the development of the event, sales and the influx of people... etc 👎 As icing on the cake they were not responsible in any way for the...
