By far, THE WORST MEMBERSHIP DESK!!!! I was trying to extend Costco membership to our team of 49 people. I have a list prepared, talked to membership desk Logan on 5/4, he jotted down my contact details said his membership lead or whoever will call me the next day. 5/5, NO ONE CALLED. 5/6 I called again and got a hold of someone named Vickie, she told me Logan has given him the information but she's too busy to call. Vickie asked me what I want, I told her the Overland Park Costco had a gentleman helped me for 3 years but just past away so I was hoping the Lenexa center can help me. I told her I have 49 people in my team, neatly organized a spread sheet, I need to pay for their renewal, new membership and some just Costco cash card. She said she will have to talk to her boss and will call me She and her boss Nick talked to me on a 3 ways call, didn't still get what I wanted, I told them I will send them a spread sheet with all instruction and information. They said they will review it and call me. Surprise!! NO ONE CALL! So I had to call again tracked down Vickie, she promised me she will call me on Monday, instead of wasting my entire day waiting for their call, I chose to call them again right after the warehouse opened at 10am on Monday. Guess what, they were avoiding my phone call, (they have the caller ID now), so I called numerous time and demanded to talk to the Store manager, finally they transferred me to Nick and finally got to talk to Nick He said they are not able to do that kind of service for us. I said Overland Park did. He said may be Overland Park can but they cannot. I said if all they do is just to tell me no, why would they not tell me at the start?? instead had me waited, called and getting so frustrated. And they don't even care about getting more people to sign up, may be business is so great that they don't want more business? I demanded to talk to a manager, someone told me he will jot down all my contact information AGAIN and have the Membership Manger, another NICK to call me back. You can tell already right? NO CALL at all. This is by far THE WORST Costco and membership service I have ever experience. Do NOT open your account with them. I am planning to bring it to the top and see if that's their standard in this Store alone how to treat...

I had a membership a number of years ago, but really didn't utilize it as well as I could have. At the time, I don't think I was aware that they have an app, and that they would ship to your home. It's certainly not as quick as Amazon, but it's a lot better in a number of ways.
People tell me that an individual person without a large family really cannot find value there. They couldn't be more wrong! I think a lot of people right now are learning just how awesome Costco is, because I went to the warehouse at 2 PM on a weekday and it was slammed. Absolutely slammed! The parking lot was full. There were barely any carts in the cart area, and inside, in this giant warehouse, it was just wall-to-wall people. Dare I even go on a weekend?
Everyone who works there seems happy, everyone who shops there seems happy, and everything that I have purchased from them, whether in the warehouse or online, has been absolutely top-notch. I'm able to find specialty food that I can eat, I bought both small and large appliances from them this year, and I got some minor things like awesome kitchen towels and amazing bath towels. I found snacks that my dogs like, organic produce, gluten-free waffle mix online, these particular storage bins that I like... my little house is like a Costco showcase now.
The most wonderful thing about ordering largr appliances from Costco is that the delivery, unboxing, installation, and hauling away of your old appliances are included in the price. There are zero hidden fees.
Get a Costco membership. It will honestly pay for itself the very first trip. If you can afford it, get the executive card. I wish I had done that, because I would already have so much cash back on that thing!...
Read moreWill not be coming back. I used to shop here every single Sunday with my wife since weve moved out here from out east and today I had to go alone because she’s stuck at home sick. Apparently when the account was set up they did not add me properly so I was denied entry by a door guard(that’s what I will call them since apparently it’s in their job description to be professional narcs). I explained I am the account holders husband and should be on the account and he said ok but you will need your own card and sent me over to customer service. From here I waited in line until I was seen by a customer service rep. She was nice and was going to let me be able to shop she just needed to confirm it with her manager. So the manager( a REAL nice lady, no sarcasm whatsoever) tells me since I did not have my own individual card and that my name wasn’t on the account at set up I could not shop. So I said even tho we have been shopping here every single Sunday since we’ve moved here you can’t make an exception, she goes “well no we’ve really been tightening things up around here and you’ve had every opportunity to make the adjustment and fix on the account”. I’m sorry but it’s my responsibility to make sure it’s in the system correct yet you guys never once have ever told us it was an issue in the past???(I’ve gone several Sundays without her and never once been denied entry)I said ok have a nice day and walked away. I’ll be canceling my membership and telling anyone I meet from here on out to avoid this location and the company overall. Getting a Sam’s club membership as we speak so I can do my grocery shopping to get back home to my sick wife. Just needed to take a second to let Costco know they...
