Heritage Chocolates — Local services in Leonardtown

I have a smidge of history with Heritage Chocolates. I remember their old location briefly before they moved, and since then, they've upheld high standards and quality products. I figured I should write a glowing review after stopping by with my boyfriend to grab ice cream. I unfortunately ordered a sorbetto and it was so frozen that the employee had to use all her strength to scoop it. Both employees helped make my one cup of lemon sorbetto. I had even requested a sample of the blueberry sorbetto beforehand, not knowing what I'd be getting these (lovely) employees into. Regardless of the task, they helped with smiles on their faces and assured me it was all okay after I apologized a few times. This is stellar customer service. And let me add that me and my boyfriend LOVED the cheesecake and the lemon gelato! I love the layout of this shop. There are goodies all around, you can see the workshop, and it smells amazing. Heritage Chocolates is a lovely little artisan chocolate shop in Leonardtown. Their variety is constantly growing, so it's easy to come in and find something you've never seen before. Some examples: chocolate covered gummy bears, caramels with marshmallow, solid chocolate sea animals, truffles. You can buy a premade box or fill a box with your own favorites at the counter. They also sell gelato. Watch for their events on Facebook (like cookie decorating or caramel apple dipping). We just came from the strawberry decorating event, which was fun but felt a little like an assembly line. I would pay extra for a class where I got to dip my own strawberries and learn about tempering chocolate, instead of just spooning sprinkles onto the wet chocolate. :) Heritage: will you consider...

It's chocolate! It's amazing! Everything I have tasted from Heritage Chocolates .... amazing. My favorite is the dark chocolate caramel with sea salt! My kiddos love the milk chocolate truffles and solid bars! The staff are attentive and patient while I'm making up my mind, especially when I can't decide which gelato flavor to eat!!
