Charter 803 Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Lexington

Though it was a fam friendly place… is not. Employee wearing a “ let’s get naked, i have a plan” shirt… gave me the this won’t last long. Walked in, to not be greeted and having to ask other customers if i seat myself or what. Online menu/ menu they have, doesn’t match. Doesn’t have prices. Waitress read me the names on her notepad of the other items listed on the online menu. Saw two different cooks come out the kitchen with no gloves while one grabbed his junk and went back in. Had been ready to go first 10 secs i walked in. Looked like a sports bar. Nothing more. Ice machine bucket fill station right there by the tables where customers are eating, trying to enjoy a conversation. You just cant. I recently visited Charter 803 in Lexington, South Carolina, and I have to say, the food is absolutely fantastic. Their wings are probably the best I’ve had in all of Lexington—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

However, my experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the service. When I received my order, it was incorrect, and when I brought it to the server’s attention, the interaction quickly turned negative. The server became argumentative and, to my dismay, even threw the corrected order on my table. This level of disrespect and poor service was disappointing and completely unnecessary. Because of this, I won’t be returning, despite the great food.

Owner seems to be someone who can't stop drinking, and that openly makes his female employees uncomfortable in front of everyone like a desperate little boy while boasting his wife is at home, opposite of family friendly. He also berates his employees for making the smallest of mistakes, the owner really has no idea how to run a restaurant, communicate effectively, or have any ounce of professionalism in the slightest.
