I unfortunately went here to have my hair flat ironed. The girl had no idea how to properly straighten from the root and my hair looked terrible. Wavy at the root and straight but frizzy at the bottom. The sections of hair that she was straightening at one time were much too wide and it was obvious she did not know what she was doing. I told her several times to try and fix it but she eventually gave up. When I complained the manager said it was humid out and that was the best they could do. I was so frustrated I just paid and left. Never had this problem at any hair salon ever regardless of the weather. As a result of their rudeness and refusal to fix my hair unless I paid again for the same service they lost my entire family’s business which amounts to eight customers. I had to go to another hairdresser to have it fixed. The only thing Great Clips is great at is losing customers. I love how all of the negative reviews are followed up with please contact us we want to hear about your experience. Obviously they don’t care because I did complain to the management and nothing was done. This happened in June and I’m still angry about the way I was treated. Will...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Great Clips customer for over 10 years, and until today, I’ve never once felt discriminated against or denied service—even with my natural, kinky hair. That changed when I visited the Sunset location, and I left feeling humiliated and heartbroken.
In a store full of customers, the stylist refused to service me solely because of my hair texture. She said she couldn’t wash or blow-dry my hair because it was “too textured.” The way it was handled—loudly, publicly, and without any effort to offer solutions—was incredibly embarrassing and disrespectful.
Great Clips has always made me feel welcomed before. I trusted your brand to treat all hair types with dignity, and today I felt like I didn’t belong. I’m sharing this not just for myself, but for the next person who walks in with natural hair expecting the same care and fairness as everyone else.
I hope this location, and Great Clips as a company, take steps toward training and inclusion. No one should be made to feel lesser for something as natural...
Read moreToday was the first and last day in this place. When I entered it seemed like a good place but, when I saw the treatment of the only man working in that place, I began to have doubts. This African-American man, instead of helping my son feel more confident, made the situation worse. We went because my son was bullied at school because of the color of his hair and I wanted to help my son end that situation thinking that a haircut would make him feel much better! Unfortunately it wasn't like that, it ended worse! This man cut all his hair and without any shape or style. In addition to doing it wrong. Today's experience is very unpleasant. If I had respect, it was because of my son's presence. It was heartbreaking to see my son's eyes full of tears. Then, when I helped my son remove the cut hair, I realize that he also cut my son's skin. I wonder if your employees have the training to do their job?...
