Disappointing! Called the store days before my visit because I was looking for a particular item. I was told there was a huge selection of the item and I would definitely be able to find what I was looking for. The store is an hour away for me so I did my finance approval online prior to going to save time. I should have read reviews!!!Once there I was immediately disappointed there was a very small selection and the young lady showing me different items seemed uninterested in helping me. There was a very nice older lady there who found something I did like ( she was the only person there that seemed like she wanted to be there) but would need to be ordered. when she stepped away the younger lady irritated me to the point I just left. She told me I would have to leave my ring there just to get a price on my new piece...no thanks! I have never been treated like this at any store. I did look around for awhile to see if there was anything in the store I’d like instead of what I came for but the lack of good service made the decision for me to leave empty handed. I have bought from Bruce Hayes and his fine staff for years and have always received excellent service. My wife has many pieces of jewelery that she now owns that I purchased from Hayes Jewelers Lexington, NC and she will tell you she enjoys them all. I also have started giving my granddaughters custom designed pieces that I have had Bruce and Zach make for me at Hayes Jewelery in Lexington, NC. My family buys lots of pieces there also. For the Best in Service make one call that does it all. Call on the fine folks at Hayes Jewelers for all of your jewelery needs from custom pieces to already made designs which they have plenty of in the store. And speaking of custom pieces of jewelery if you can dream it they can make it. Service second to none anywhere to be found.do what I do and make the trip and speak to the friendly staff at Hayes and let them help you design a custom made ring, bracelet or necklace for you. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted really kindly by the associate, thank you to that person. We went in asking if a customer engagement ring could be made. We knew roughly what we wanted and stated that we were simply wanting to know if they could do it. The “manager” came out to assist us and asked us to bring back the weight, which we were fine with doing. After another brief discussion we were told the jewelry industry “shuts down” for two weeks which we understood. It seemed as if our request was mistaken as wanting a quote right away. Knowing how much we may be spending on this custom diamond and their design work, the “hurried” come back in two weeks attitude was concerning. This ring is a symbol of a life we are wanting to start and this unadvertised closure seemed to be more important than the product we wanted them to create.

This place might be great for your off the shelf purchases but we are concerned about their custom work.
