Woodhill Circle Plaza — Local services in Lexington

If you can forget about the numerous automobile break-ins, smattering of shootings and murders, and a general unsafe vibe of the area, half of Woodhill shopping center is worth visiting ( the part that has Office Depot). The other half, beside the gas station, is mostly filled with abandoned and fly-by-night businesses . I would not want to park my car in the area for long. I would not be there at night without being a bit paranoid of being robbed or murdered which has become a problem over the past few years. there is an exception, however. The sign company in Woodhill seems to be very upstanding. I've done business with them and the people are great. I can't believe their windows have not been smashed in for neighborhood thugs looking for an easy target.

It is really too bad that this neighborhood and shopping center has faced such decline. The location is great and over the years there have been a fairly good selection of businesses. My favorite reason for going here is Home Goods! I love that store! Just wandering through the aisles, looking @ all the beautiful & unique items in every category you can think of, (glassware, dinnerware, cooking utensils & bakeware, bedding, sculptures & decor, gourmet food items, furniture, area rugs, bathroom decor & towels, toiletries, wall art, & more miscellaneous items). All good quality @ discounted prices. It's like a wonderland for bargain shoppers who want good quality & a fun shopping experience! I shopped at the supermercado in the plaza for the first time. It’s the best place to go in Lexington for ingredients like I had growing up in the mestizo neighborhoods of California (Piloncillo, Canela Entera, etc.) The people working there are very friendly and helpful. I was able to get a molcajete and a tortillero during my visit. They even have the packaged bulk goods in the back if you need any frijoles or duritos. It feels like the...
