Austin City Saloon — Restaurant in Lexington

Read a lot of reviews on this place before I started going a few months ago and most Of them I thought to be nonsense lies sense I don’t understand how you would get kicked out for no reason however, this is not happened to me only once but yet twice, so this might be long review. I am a mom of 4 so it’s been over 15 years since I last went out my kids are starting to get a little bit older at least enough to spend a few hours by themselves and I get help with the Oldest to watch the youngest so I can finally have fun with my husband of 17 years and get a lil fun out of what youth we still have left. however, the first 4 times we went was fine stayed until 30 mins before closing left no problems. The fourth time we went I walked outside about 12am to place a hotel reservation since I’m responsible old enough to know better than to drink and drive and there’s no way you can hear anything inside of that building to make a decent phone call that’s including out back because u have many people yell talking. Once I started to come back in, I get stopped at the door with the bouncer that states I can’t come back in because there was a blonde lady and a black dress, causing ruckus in the parking lot for Shirley to God this place has some cameras in the parking lot I would think to be a bar that would be the smart thing to do. But they were accusing me of being this lady stating I could not come back into my husband and cousins since we came as a group, however I kept asking the bouncer. Are you sure that you’re talking about me because all I did was make a phone call and come back in he kept saying yes I was like you definitely have the wrong person because I’m not wild like that the owner or manager come over and said no I was not that lady so they finally did let me back in. to me that was strike one accusing me of doing something I did not do accusing the wrong person. Fast forward a few weeks we decide to go back again disregarding our better judgment and lo and behold, about 1:15 AM they walk up to us and tell us we are to leave now they didn’t tell us a reason why we had to leave. We did nothing. We stayed in our own area just me and my husband. Nobody else came with us this time. so didn’t make any sense, I guess after this last time I will not be going back and they really do kick people out for no reason we didn’t bother nobody we didn’t mess with nobody. We stuck to ourselves and stayed in our own little area. and be careful of putting your credit cards on file because then they charge what they want to for tip, which is really messed up since I was giving cash for tip and they still took tip off the card without...

I guess the bartenders just take whatever they want for a tip.

My friend wanted to see what Austin City was like so we stopped here after coming from Cocktails and there was literally no one here. She paid the cover because I left my wallet in the car so I bought us both a couple Vegas bombs which were a little over $10 so I tipped %20 which granted is like $3, not much of a tip. But it’s %20 and the bartender poured us some shots and that was it.

So I wake up the next morning and see the bartender helped herself to basically a $10 tip. For two shots.

As someone who used to bartend myself this is unprofessional and extremely rude. You take what you’re given and even if you don’t get anything you never claim a tip you didn’t get. I’m not that sad over just $10 but it’s a matter...

0 Stars If I could! Please! Don’t waste your money on this DUMP of an establishment. Take a look at the negative reviews and how the owner replies. These people don’t care that you’re spending your hard earned money at their business. Any bar or restaurant would be better. I’d be ashamed to be associated with this Trainwreck of an operation.
