Sweet Creations Bakery — Restaurant in Lexington

My birthday cake was purchased from this bakery by my kids for my celebration with friends & family on Feb.11th, 2023. This cake set out on the table while everyone ate & socialized. When I initially cut the cake it fell apart. As I continued to cut the cake, it got worse. My kids & I were both embarrassed. After cutting about the 4th piece, we decided this cake should be taken back to Sweet Creations Bakery. Four different people tasted the cake & stated it was cold or had been frozen. The cake appeared to have still been very cold in the center. Bianca(Co-owner) claimed when I spoke with her that the cake cut perfectly for her after my kids left the store. She did not offer another cake for my kids to bring back to my celebration. So I had no cake to celebrate the occasion. She indicated with my kids she would refund their money back, but at that moment she could only do a partial refund because 2 separate payments were made (something I think she made up). As someone that has been in customer service for most of their career, I am highly disappointed in how Bianca handled this transaction. She only wanted to give me excuses of how stressed out the employees were for the Valentine holiday. Even though she stated the cake cut perfectly for her (she cut a cake after my kids left the store), she agreed she could not explain why the cake was still cold. Any good business owner should value the holidays & accept stress as part of the business you own to be successful. By chance stumbled across this bakery when out and about with my lovely Wife. We got a doughnut. Which was ok. However we also ordered two of the cake in a cup, what an awesome concept, the carrot cake and a choco cake both with buttercream cream icing and a slice of strawberry cake to go. I sampled the carrot cake which is one of my favorites and wow it was so moist and flavorful. The strawberry cake was super light and fluffy and as equally delicious as the carrot cake. We havent tried the choco yet but I have high expectations. It was well past lunch and I noticed they have burritos. I have very high standards for burritos, Ive been going to the same place for over 20 years for my burrito. I have it several times a month if not weekly and have taken untold amount of people there also. Its the best burrito Ive ever had and typically I wont order burritos from any other place as Im so happy with where I typically go. Anyway I decided to give Sweet Creations a chance as the cakes were so good. I ordered the steak burrito. I was really surprised as it was absolutely flavorful and delicious. The cake that I got from this bakery was not what I was expecting from a cake of this price or from the other pictures that I saw posted.I asked why it was so much when it looked the way it did. I was told that this wasn't kroger and the cake was made with in house made ingredients, and yet it looks like a cake I would've bought at kroger for $80. When my wife asked for the theme we wanted, we weren't told to choose a picture. The lady who helped her pulled up and scrolled through some pictures and asked if that was what we were looking for, but we were never told to pick one. The picture that they ended up choosing wasn't even one of the pictures that was shown to her.
