A Plus Nail School — Local services in Leyden Township

As a proud A+ Nail school alumni I would love to share my personal experience, in hopes of helping others in their search of a nail tech school. In short, this is the greatest investment I have made for myself not just financially.

The space itself is a clean and warm welcoming environment! The staff is beyond helpful and supportive, they provide you all the tools and resources to flourish in this industry. I had the pleasure of touring with Daisy and she’s the best!

The curriculum is straightforward and VERY flexible and the staff is willing to work with you to reach your goals! You will learn so much from teacher Lori with her years of experience. The test prep classes and practice tests were so helpful with principal Eunice and can proudly say I am a licensed nail tech! Through career day I was able network and search for a salon to connect with and continue my growth and experience.

They have many classes teaching you classic and trendy designs, it’s a well rounded program that I highly encourage anyone considering and searching for a place to invest your time and finances.

All the instructors and staff are very hands on! Karina helped me master the basics of pedicures and it has been one of my most favorite service to provide. Pkay has a lot of techniques in designs to share to help you ease into them. Melissa was helpful with all a lot of my administrative tasks, and want to thank everyone individually! You are all uniquely amazing and glad to have had the pleasure of learning from you all!

A plus continues to open their doors to their alumni’s providing space and community in this industry through networking events, follow their socials to stay up to date!

When I first started my nail journey I toured different schools to ensure I was making the right decision. A+ plus nail school won my heart! Melissa welcomed me with a friendly hello and conducted a very informative tour. While looking around I noticed how beautiful and clean the environment was. I’m a neat freak so I was in heaven. When we made our way down the hall to the butterfly room I instantly fell in love with Mrs Loretta’s nail art that was displayed and was introduced to Mrs Loretta. She was working on a 3D butterfly made with a sticker and acrylic. I said in my head “yea I could never do this” but knew it was a challenge I was willing to take on. Mrs Loretta made me feel so welcomed and gave me confidence. After my tour we went back into the office where I was able to chat with Daisy and she gave me more Information regarding tuition. I knew once I walked out of this school I was coming back. A month later I enrolled and couldn’t be more happy. I later met Karina and Pk who are great instructors and kept pushing the students to keep going and remain positive.

I’m literally 2 weeks away from completing my training and still pleased with my decision. I wish school didn’t have to end however I’m thankful and pleased to know that there are continuing education opportunities with A+ plus; so they will be seeing more of me! Thank you guys for being so amazing during my journey! Nail confidence is key and you guys truly gave that to me!

At first I was skeptical because I felt the price was too high! I searched high and low for a year trying to find cheaper schools, lol! I did a lot of comparisons and long story short, you get what you pay for! I found cheaper schools, but they were no comparison to A plus! The classes A Plus offered, reeled me in and now I’m here, a GRADUATE!!! 🎉 Needless to say, I would pay every dime again because it was truly worth it! You’re able to get Gel X certified (included with tuition) other places charge $600 for a 5-6 hour course! The classes are amazing with AMAZING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE INSTRUCTORS! When you attend this school, you’ll become more than a nail tech, you’ll be a nail artist! Did I mention how hands on the Principal/Owner is, she always show how dedicated she is to help her students succeed! This school was my sanity on days I wasn’t feeling my best, the environment is just amazing! I could go on and on about A Plus Nail School 😂 I’ll just end it by saying, seeing is believing!
