Received a Tapas Treats Slate Serving Tray & Cheese Knife for Christmas. Just finished taking apart the gift and separating the components. This took over an HOUR because of the super sticky rubbery goo they used on each part and the residue is still on the tray, stainless steel knife, and jars. The goo is so strong that the paper wrapped items, i.e., summer sausage, cheese and crackers got torn up.
This company also put some super sticky transparent tape on the corners of the slate serving board. When I carefully removed that it also took some paint with it.
My question is now, "What do I use to remove the goo residue that won't damage the serving board further? For that matter, what will work on this goo to remove it from everything???
Will try calling in again tomorrow. I don't know their hours but I believe they are 3 hours ahead of us in CA. There was NO REASON to use such a heavy duty, super sticky goo on everything in this package. I've see lighter weight goo that removes easily that would be more than sufficient because the package was shrink wrapped and nothing was going to move...
Read moreMy husband and I received from our Grandson a nice looking package labelled Savory Snack Cutting Board, BL7684, 8.16 oz Snacks,7 oz Meat, 5.43 oz Condiments, and 3.5 oz Cheese Spread; also included a small cutting board and cheese spreader; it was distributed by Designpac Gifts, LLC, in Melrose Park, IL. It took me more than an hour to attempt to get the rubbery glue off the individual items in order to store them until consumed. I have no idea where the gift was purchased or how much was paid for it. However, it is not worth whatever it cost because of the packaging and misleading amounts of each item (the containers are much larger than necessary to hold the contents). I highly recommend Designpac improve the packaging or take this gift off the market. We appreciated our Grandson's thoughts but it was a waste of his money. Don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him to never purchase such an item again. I am sure many other recipients would feel the same way but not take the time to write an...

Kids Easter baskets that do not have any kind of toy included, the cardboard maze that was part of the basket became unusable since the company used tape to keep everything together which includes taping the activity cardboard so it gets torn up if you try and remove the tape strips all across the front. Major fail for the kids Easter basket designs...do better...
