My wife and I got married last year. We both agreed that Jordan was the best wedding-related decision we made (second only to deciding to get married). Here are a few reasons why, for anyone considering working with Jordan.

1. Jordan is a kind, thoughtful, and fun person to be around. If you’re planning an event or wedding, that’s the type of person you want to have supporting you. My wife and I weren’t the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Jordan excels at getting to know people through genuine conversation. She was eager to ask questions that led us to open up and have fun during our engagement and wedding shoots. She was also generous with her time leading up to our event, and took a few calls to answer questions and even made suggestions based on our venues.

We also loved Jordan’s passion for working with non-traditional couples, and for “quirky creative” photography. Whatever you may be looking for, Jordan will collaborate alongside you to try and make it happen. And you’ll enjoy her company along the way!

2. Jordan is comfortable and effective leading a group. Our event was not huge, under 100. It was important to us to have a few shots of the entire party, which is tough to do with a group that size. Understanding this was important to us, she swiftly organized the entire party on 2 separate occasions to capture these shots. We also had a list of family and wedding party shots — she made sure we got every shot on that list. Jordan will do her best to keep your timeline and get all the shots you discuss with her beforehand.

Jordan was also effective in collaborating with her second photographer, Alexis. We’re glad we decided to have the second photographer, as it provided many more shots that otherwise would not have been captured.

3. Value and quality. Of all the wedding things we budgeted for, the photos and memories are the only things we really get to “keep” forever. Jordan and Alexis’s work came out fantastic - a mix of both planned shots and so many candids that we love. She also knew that we especially enjoy black and white photography, so she included more of these shots, and even surprised us with photos shot on her film camera.

This was our first time working with a photographer, so we spent a lot of time researching and met with ~10 photographers. In the end, we found Jordan’s pricing to be very fair. This type of photography is definitely a life long investment, and one that we’re grateful we were able to make. These photos play on a digital frame in our apartment and bring us joy every day.

We had a different photographer set up originally for our 10-12 person wedding at the International Museum of Surgical Science in downtown Chicago during COVID-19 and the photographer fell through within the last couple of weeks or so before out wedding date. We asked our contact at the museum who they would recommend and she provided Jordan's information and the rest is now part of our history! Jordan was incredibly punctual and accommodating with regard to our schedules, budget, and concerns during the crunch time of trying to secure a new photographer with only a couple weeks to go and basically starting from scratch with the photographer hunt. Despite her busy schedule (and ours), she made the time to make me feel like my then fiancé and I were the only two people important to her every time we spoke. She really worked with us to make herself affordable for us & to stay within our budget and not many people would have done that; especially during the times of a pandemic! Neither of us could have better things to say about Jordan and her trade! She listened to us every step of the way and worked with our videographer on site at the wedding to stream the ceremony and still get wonderful shots while being the most time efficient to keep things moving and to not keep us away from our long-awaited food or our guests post-ceremony.

We are SO thankful to have had her wonderful self and gorgeous creative mind to document our itty bitty wedding! She could not have been sweeter and she was all about working WITH us, not AGAINST us. If I had known about her from the beginning, I would have chosen her immediately. She was incredibly laid-back (which is ABSOLUTELY our style), light-hearted, but professional and extremely engaging with us and our guests.
