Warhammer — Local services in Liberty Township

This guy is terrible he's a good salesman he's a fun person to talk to but he sucks at showing up on time and opening the store when its supposed to be open. I had a friend who came to this place three times at the stated times on the website to try And pick up some Guardsmen units. At the times stated they would be open. All three times they were supposed to be open they were closed. I came to The store today at wednesday their store stated they were open till 7pm i came at 2:30pm to find the door locked qnd the store dark. I looked at the times stated on the window it says "reopen after lunch at 2:30pm." And it was still closed. I waited ten minnutes no one showed I waited till 2:50pm still no one. Why the hell state that you're gonna reopen at 2:30 if you're not going to be there. Once or twice I can understand but consistently happens with this guy. He's a charmer he'll talk to you undersgtnd your needs and what you're looking for and push sales all day when he's in but when hes supppsed to be there to work the times he states he'll be working he doesnt show up. I guess they really dont want /need the money. Also another fun fact this store has gone through multiple owners. Its passed hands multiple times due to issues like this. The first guy wasnt a very good salesman but knew the lore and setting and factions well enough that you could talk to him though he wasnt much of a talker. this guy is a great salesman and fun to talk with but does not show up when he's expected to work . Gw when will you guys get a good hard working employee who will run this store and actually do what they're supposed to do? I bet he wasnt even here at 11:00...

Attempts 1 (2024) and 2 (09/27/25) were disappointing and I have since deleted that review as I have an understanding of why.

The store was open. The Staff person extremely friendly.

Warhammer, 40K, etc... wall to wall. Tables set up for playing. An area for painting. Books, paint, supplies and more.

I did ask if someone wanted to learn how to play and was told that all I had to do was come in and ask to be taught. I can bring my own miniatures or they do have some for use if I do not have any.

It was nice talking with someone that understood everything that I was talking about and could answer any of my questions. I was there much longer than I had planned, just talking about the different games that were out.

I did find out that there is only 1 employee. They do not hire additional staff. This does explain why they are not always open during the posted business hours.

I did purchase something, checking that off my bucket list. He still had some of the miniature of the month, so he gave me one of them. I did a happy dance (no he dud not see that).

This was definitely worth the wait. My advice is to be patient. Yes, it frustrating to make the trip there only to find that is closed. If you are into the hobby or any aspect of what Games Workshop has, this is definitely a place that you want to visit at least once.

David is a really cool guy, patient, and for all you Chaos players he is a very knowledgable rep for Games Workshop! I am surprised they had Black Library books so you don’t have to order from the UK and check there first to save money on shipping. They had more Citadel paints available than all of the mini war gaming shops in the Columbus area!

My boyfriend takes forever in the store but that is a compliment since they have a wide selection of other forces. I’m an Eldar player and David got me to start a Ynnead force. We purchased codex books, audio CD, and novels. I collect models from England, Warhammer 30k forces from Raven Guard to Space Wolves along with Horus Heresy Primarch statues.

There are some rare gems in the store library collection like certain hardcover novels. I drive literally 45 mins up north it is our favorite Warhammer 40k store.
