Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Liberty Township

Horrible experience! Won’t be back again. Customers must be aware of the poster that they put on the door, which says that download, sign up and get a free drink after your 1st purchase. (See the pic) I do not care the 7 $ smoothie but that is what they put out. I followed the poster then came to store with my son in a pretty good mood. I asked the persons working there. They said that they did not know anything about the app. I took a picture show them. They still said that there was nothing that they could do. Seriously! Then Why put a sign over there! They even refused to communicate with anyone who might know at first. The even more ridiculous thing was that one young lady suggested me call the number on the app which is the store phone number. Then she is the one who is going to pick up the phone. Even though one guy came over and said that he was able to contact the owner and tried to explain it. Not coming back for sure! This review is solely based on the experience I had this evening with a young girl with brunette hair. She was working the evening/night shift. I submitted a pickup order around 8:35pm fully aware that they close at 9pm. I arrived at 8:50pm to pick up my order that was already ready to go. When I walked in I was not greeted by anyone. In fact, the girl mentioned above, grabs my bag and hands it to me in an incredibly rude manner. I can tell she is upset so I thank her. She just looks at me and says nothing. I again say "thank you" and once again no response. I understand that they were in the process of closing but I did a pick up order that was already ready when I arrived and I planned on grabbing it and leaving well before 9pm. I find it incredibly unsatisfactory that I was treated in such a poor manner for no rational reasoning. I needed this today. #ParadisePoint I live pretty close by, but I avoid going into these little strip mall things because this area is so busy. It's really hard in my big truck to get in and out of these tight areas safely (I've lived in Powell for five years, but come from a rural area. I don't think I'll ever get used to it.). Be careful esp if you go at night because it's not busy but it's not well-lit ether. I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to exit where I did, but I made it!

I made a trip down here just for a smoothie, but it was worth it. It's a place I'd been wanting to try. It has a very young vibe inside with loud music. I went around 8:15pm and was afraid they might not be open. They're open until 9pm but I've run into many businesses closing early with staff shortages.
