Well I've been to 2 sessions at trurest : 1st at Powell and 2nd at Easton location. I believe the experience is very personal and what I liked about it someone else may not like so I am not going to review my experience but I will review the locations. 1ST YES Powel is much smaller but it is also much cleaner... in the Easton location behind the pod there were many cables where they touch the water, there was a machine that was making a noise that I could even hear while in the water and it was filled with rust from the things were on the floor... also when I looked at the water it was covered w an oil on the surface... Powell like I said felt and looked much cleaner so even though I live much closer to Easton location I will be going to Powell location. Another thing I can add is that when they first walk you through the whole experience.. yes they do make you watch a video but I do believe they can go in more detail and explain better. For example you will see 3 small packages wiating for you in a small tray - 1 is make up remover tissue, 2nd is a package that says it has petrolium in it and 3rd is the ear plugs. Nobody told me what that petrolium package is for but apperantly after googling it is avery important step to apply it before u get in the salty pod. It helps w the dryness of your skin - so u should be applying to ur lips and even around your eyes so if water does come to ur face it may prevent to go in your eyes and believe me you do no want that water in your eyes it burns really bad. You can also apply it if you have any wounds or cuts so that water does not sting. The other one is the ear plugs - they are not ur typically earplugs so make sure to try to read the tiny directions that comes with it! Other things that I think you need to be given info/directions: 1) take a nice shower and make sure you wash/wet your hair as well, do not use the towel just go ahead and jump in the water - it does even feel better when u cool down the water towards the end of your shower and jump in cuz water feels much warmer. But before u jump in make sure you have some drinking water with you in the pod and make sure to grab the small towel with you. You will get thirsty and ur mouth will dry while you are in it. You will need a towel to dry ur face or eyes as u getting out of the pod or even while still in it cuz I did fell asleep and water when into my eyes and they have not stang like that before and there is no way you can use ur hands to clear the water out of your face/eyes!!!! There will be a small spray bottle in the pod where you can spray ur face or the towel to clear the salty water - you will use it - make sure it is full! Make sure to bring your face lotion ( yes they give you lotion but it is a cheap generic brand and it is not for your face) it will be dry! I am planning to even take my own body lotion for the next times... in the Powell location they provide you w Qtips, cottons but I was not able to locate them in Easton location... make sure to bring ur hair brush (actually the receptionist at the Powell location gave me this tip and it was great). They do provide with blowdryers so if you want you can use them as the weather is very low right now. I like using the oxygen station becuz even your nose will be very dry and it helps with that and it is free for ur 1st time. I believe all these small things put togehter will make your 1st experience much better and you will likely to go back. Like I said they really need to work on cleanliness in the Easton location.. I am not going back there for sure! I am giving 3 star becuz of the Powell location otherwise it would be 1 and I prolly would not signed up for a...
Read moreAs I anticipated from the customer service that I received while in the facility, the owners DID NOT reach out as they said they would after I wrote a poor review listed below 2 weeks ago.
As they stated in their response, they never called me, left me a voicemail, or reached out to me on social media to resolve their poor customer service. All it seems they are interested in doing is providing lip service as a response to the poor review to look good on social media. Obviously this behavior is acceptable for them and it is exactly the experience they intend to provide to customers.
No response to poor service just shows the lack of leadership from the owners, and I now assume they demonstrate this in their facility with their associates, as they displayed the same poor customer service. I assume they will not be successful in the long term with this type of leadership and poor customer service. Good luck.
INITIAL POOR REVIEW: My wife and I visited TrueREST in Powell today for a couples float. Facility is nice and they seemed very professional when we arrived. During my float experience, the music never came on, the light stayed on, and the water jet never shut off in my pod as it was supposed to. I was also not able to manually shut off the light with the button. I was unable to relax due to water bumping me into the wall repeatedly. Finally was able to doze off with about 10 minutes left in my float. Was awakened to somebody banging loudly on my door telling me I was 15 minutes past my time limit. Unfortunately the music that was supposed to come on with 5 minutes left didn’t either. After rushing out of my pod, I asked the attendant at the desk about my pod regarding the light, music, and jet and if there was something I was supposed to do to turn them off. She stated that there was nothing that I should have to do to start it, and proceeded to tell me that my wife had said the same thing, seemed upset, and just put on her shoes and left. She didn’t seem concerned at all that our pods didn’t work properly. After getting to the car and speaking with my wife about her experience, I learned that her pod did exactly as mine did. She stated that she got out of the pod and just waited in her room on the bench for about 30-35 minutes until I was done. Overall, this experience cost us about $100, for services that didn’t live up to the expectations that were advertised. We would love to get a refund for the poor experience, and will not...
Read moreThis review is based off my first visit I am bipolar and have a personality disorder. Relaxing, shutting down, and just being content with the now is very hard for me. When I went into this I was not expecting my experience. I was expecting less actually. I knew going in that it’s going to take more than a few sessions for the benefits to really kick in so I’m invested. My first float went like this. I called for an appt which was accommodated without card info and I felt good about this. I was greeted by the nicest woman. And educated on what to expect before going into the pod. Upon walking back with the specialist she gave me recommendations and what I may or may not experience during my hour in the room. I was fully Aware of all expectations. I got in the pod and did what the instructions from the video told me to do. Counted breaths to 300 which for me was hard but it helped me relax. For the first time in weeks I had a day where at least an hour of my day I was not frantic or suffering from my own self destruction and I am going in again today for my second treatment. The owners partner called me and checked on me after my first visit and gave me an Amazing offer for treatment and I accepted. Just the fact that she checked on me was enough for me to be so gracious of this service. Thank you for being here! I’m in the middle of a mental health crisis and this has helped me more...
