Dollar General — Local services in Licking

Our Dollar General Store here in Licking is a very clean and a well kept store. The employees are very nice while they are also very professional. I enjoy shopping there because of their friendliness and their willingness to help you find whatever you are looking for. And usually when I am shopping there I will run into other friends who are also shopping. The employees keep the store well stocked. It is always neat and that is very helpful when you are looking for a certain thing. It is such a Blessing to have this store in our community and I am very thankful that we have it to shop in. Usually the staff is friendly but today had an experience with an extremely rude employee. Called because online it said they only had one in stock so I called and asked them to hold it so I could drive there and buy it. The staff member proceeded to lecture me on “how you don’t believe everything you read on the internet” and proceeded to ramble more about how we need to just come in and get it which is fine however I don’t think I need lectured as a grown woman on “believing everything I read online.” When my boyfriend went to pay for it she was extremely rude to...

It's a decent Dollar General, the employees are always friendly and the place is fairly clean. The only issues I have are that sometimes there is no one at the register so you will either have to wait until someone shows up or you will have to go looking and calling out for someone. The other issue (even though it's not a huge deal) is why can't the self checkout be used? I don't think it's ever been used at all.. so why even have one?
