Horrible customer service. I came in to sell a prom dress and accessories. I dropped it off at the front counter and was told it would be about 10 mins. After 20mins I went to the counter to see if they were ready to give me a quote and was told to wait 10 more minutes, I so happen to notice a slip that said âdrop offâ and I asked THE YOUNG LADY HELPING ME was I suppose to fill that out and a older lady with glasses who Iâm assuming is the manager rudely said that if I donât have 10 items then I would not be able to open an account. Now this is my first time coming here so I was completely confused and the young lady that was originally helping me seemed lost and confused but she was still telling me to wait a few more mins and they should be finish looking at my things. So I asked well do I need 10 items to sell cause Iâm little confused and once again the older black woman rudely stated I need to have 10 items for an account and once again I was Confused cause not one time did any associate explain to me how the selling process worked but the older woman just kept saying you canât have an account with us if you donât have 10 items. I asked the young lady for my things back cause obviously she was just as lost as I was and with that being said I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND I REALLY DO HOPE THAT the older woman reads this and fixes her attitude and for the poor young lady working FIND ANOTHER JOB because that ladies energy...
Read moreI have purchased three evening dresses From back by popular demand. The first dress was my daughterâs sweet 16 evening gown the dress cost 150.00. The second dress was homecoming which I paid 200.00. The last dress junior prom 2017 the cost was 400.00. I never had a problem going into the store to purchase a dress. However with each dress I was told I can bring it back for consignment to put towards another dress. Every time I take a dress back I get an excuse of why they cannot except it even though the dress is in the same condition it was sold to me as well as in style. Today I took the $400 prom dress back to the store for consignment. The lady behind the front desk told me to leave the dress why I shop. I stood at the glass counter for ten minutes nobody assisted me. Equally important as soon as I walked away a white female approached the same counter there were three people trying to help her. The truth is as soon as I came in the store with my dress I was already stereotyped. Sadly she knew she would not accept the dress before she even looked at it even though I brought it from her. I wish I would have known this about Back by top popular Demand and I would have never done...
Read moreRather odd experience as a potential consigner. Brought in several bags, approximately 40 pieces of high end designer clothing, including Missoni, Longchamp, Vince, Nicole Miller, etc. Some were new with tags or barely worn. The person looking through the items was nice but I got the feeling that she wasn't very serious about considering my items, as I'm middle-aged and perhaps she thought I wouldn't have anything that they wanted because of that. She treated me like a little old lady, and called me "Love". End result: she said that they were not interested in anything. From there, I headed over to Finders Keepers (FK) in Decatur, and they took 7 items! I have been doing business with them ever since; bringing them more items each week, including sterling jewelry and high end designer bags. They have already sold about 25% of my items in the past few weeks! I would skip Back By Popular Demand and head to Finders Keepers in Decatur. While their shop is a little bit smaller, it is so well curated. It has a boutique feel, the employees are friendly, and they have created a lovely shopping experience for...
