My visit to waffle house this morning was unacceptable for several reasons. The main issue was that we waited at 45 minutes between the time we ordered and when we received our food, and while most if it was warm, the waffle was room temperature. And room temperature was uncomfortably cold. Besides these issues, we were able to observe the way the manager (we assumed, white woman wearing pink hat) treated her employees. The entire time we were in the restaurant all she did was stand in the middle of the kitchen and yell at her employees about what they needed to be doing. As our waitress was carrying hot coffee to a table, she screamed at her to come get her food out of the kitchen even though she was clearly busy. When the phone rang and was not immediately answered, she literally yelled "thank you for calling waffle house 1054, this is _ how can I help you?" And would fill in the blank with an employee's name, who may be cashing out a customer or filling drinks, instead of answering it herself. We saw several employees rolling their eyes or throwing up their hands at her, and it was quite clear that they are fed up with her barking orders at them and not actually being helpful. She may need some retraining in what it means to be a leader. This waffle house was also busy enough that there should be an employee who answers the phone, takes carry out orders and cashes out customers to...

I’ve had many late-night Waffle House experiences, most of which blur together in a haze of bad decisions and great food. But last night? Last night was different. Last night was life-changing.
I ordered the Bacon Texas Cheesesteak Plate, and let me tell you, if that sandwich had a fan club, I’d be the president. The steak was sizzling, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the bacon? Crispier than my ability to make responsible choices.
But let’s talk about the real MVP here: the Waffle House special sauce. I don’t know what’s in it. I don’t need to know. All I know is that it took my sandwich from "amazing" to "I would trade my left shoe for another bite."
And the hashbrowns? Covered, chucked, diced, and peppered—an absolute masterpiece. Every bite felt like a warm hug from the universe.
The staff? Efficient, friendly, and faster than a Waffle House brawl hitting the internet. They had my food out before I even finished contemplating my life choices.
This wasn’t just a meal. It was an event. A moment in history. A story I’ll tell my grandchildren. 12/10, would stumble in again...
Read moreOne of our favorite places to eat at, especially in the morning. Since we can't get country ham in California, we always go to waffle house in Georgia, when we visit. We left Georgia over 5 years ago, so when we visit Waffle House is the place we hit first thing in the morning. Great service and food. Prices are very reasonable, if order isn't right just say it. You'll be a happy camper when leaving. They are super, super awesome group of people. Many have worked there for a while. They are familiar with regulars, if you go in enough believe me they'll know what you like and how to cook your meal. Always clean bathrooms and service area. You can watch them cook your food while waiting. Open kitchen area. Kids menu available or they can share your meal, they'll give you an extra plate...
