There’s an AMAZING selection of stores here. It’s great for holiday shopping because there’s something for everyone here! The diversity of the stores pleasantly surprised me and prevented my holiday shopping from being a boring search through a department store or super center, which is where I thought I would end up at after not being able to find the perfect gifts. The Outlets have saved me and every single person was pleased with their gifts! If you have ever been to the Outlets in Reading, PA, this is nothing like that location. I feel that the closed floor plans and smaller, individual stores creates a more cozy environment as opposed to feeling like you’re shopping in a warehouse. All of the other types of stores are just fine for everyday shopping but I think this is the place for gift shopping. The only negative points I don’t like are the CRAZY parking at certain times of the year. I’m disabled and I actually had to leave before making a purchase, one time, because I was in so much physical pain from the 20 minute walk just to get to the store that I was looking for using Google Maps. I parked as close to the store’s “pin” location as possible and set out to reach the store. I finally arrived at the location of the store only to find it was not there. I stopped an employee outside, that I thought was a security guard & he gave us directions to go the complete opposite way of our car. We followed the directions only to find that the store was no longer located at the Outlets here. I was interested in the other stores I did see but by that time I couldn’t even stand up anymore. My husband had to get the car and pick me up. So, what can I suggest? When looking for a particular store, make sure that it’s still at this location and still open for business there before wasting the gas to get there! Plan on starting winter holiday shopping in the spring in order to avoid parking in the farthest lots! IF you are trying to locate a store and ask an employee for directions, ask them to show you that way they can enjoy the wild goose chase along with you!
PS, it’s late and I apologize...
Read moreUnder the shadow of the two nuclear power plant cooling stacks sits the Philadelphia Premium Outlet - which though retaining the name "Philadelphia", sits far afield from the city of brotherly love. Nestled among this quaint collection of 21st century national chains (as well as some second tier chains), sits pristine segments of undisturbed "protected wetlands", exactly as nature intended them, within arms reach of fine retail establishments such as Under Armor. Rich history runs through this commercial oasis in the midst of parking lots: the plazas carry weighty names such as "shipbuilder's" or "printer's" plaza, which hearken back to an earlier time when critical events in our country's founding took place on these very slabs of poured concrete. On a recent visit in 96 degree heat, we were reminded of these important colonial moments when approximately a third of the stores participated in an accurate historical reenactment of having no air conditioning!! I must say, never have I seen so many unfashionable people literally with access to such premium national fashion chains. As a resident of near center city Philadelphia, I can say this outlet truly puts our Fashion District to shame, and it's regrettable though quite socially just that our Ann Taylors did not survive the excessive shoplifting and gun violence of our great city. Simon Premium Outlets is clearly proud of their accomplishment in Pottstown, in fact in the hallway linking the food court to the bathrooms they've placed trophy photos of their other fine establishments from locales such as Albertville Minnesota, Michigan City Indiana, and Lutz Florida to name a few. Truly they should be proud of what they've achieved...
Read moreIt’s okay if you just want to grab something name brand. Yeah the outlet has a lot of sales but if you really pay attention to the price tag, it’s not that big of a deal and for the drive…at least for me coming from Lansdale. Selection for all the stores are limited and but they can order it for you and for the their price with free shipping for most stores. Okay so for the stores, it’s all great!!! Hours are limited to some stores depending on the retail due to staff issues. Food court is good. It has an enclosed area with plenty of seatings in case you want a break from the outside elements. Although heads up, their bathrooms are ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!!! Didn’t seem to appear that it has been cleaned daily or regularly throughout the shopping hours. Lots of food carts throughout the plaza with delicious treats and food. Lavatories are available throughout the plaza and enough around in case of emergencies lol. I can not rate on staffing since I only go into certain stores but from my experiences it’s been okay. Again depending on what store, you’ll either get friendly service or snot nose they don’t care treatment. For me it’s 50/50 - sometimes I’ll let their rude customer service or other days I’ll walk out if I can’t get help with something. Hours for the outlet is incorrect because Jcrew closed at 7 due to staff issue supposedly. I was there at 6:30 and there was maybe 4 people there and they still started closing at 7 when we were checking out. Overall it’s not a bad outlet but not my...
