Stopped in on a whim on a business trip in the hopes of finding a color bead I needed to fix a necklace my puppy broke. Been hunting for a year for inspiration. Was blown away at how many subtitle variations of colors they carried. Definitely ask if you don’t see what you need. They have more than I was expecting and the service made me feel valued. I’m not a beader and have had a number of less than welcoming experiences at other shops. I thought the prices were super reasonable. BUT.... the best part of the whole stop is that my two dogs asked me to thank the shop for the recommendation given for the adventure we had. It was perfect. I can’t wait to be back in the area on my next business trip. They keep begging to return. Thanks a ton and we look forward to...
Read moreI had been meaning to stop here the last few times I had visited the area and I'm glad I I made time to do it this time. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable. She has a large selection of strung stone beads but no singles, she also has glass beads and metal findings. I bought a few strands of beads and talked with her a bit. The store is laid out well and inviting. It is always nice to be able to touch and feel the beads and check the strands for misaligned holes and cutting errors, etc you just dont know what your going to get when you order on line. I did not look at the...

There's lots of bead shops in touristy towns along the coast, but they're more hobby lobby-ish and don't quite appeal to serious jewelers or artisans. Beluga Beads has an impressive selection of high quality beads made from gemstones, pearl, bone, shell, silver, and every size and variation of acrylic and glass beads, including lampwork beads, vintage, and antique carnival glass. Very reasonably priced too! Definitely check out their turquoise selection and Oregon sunstones. I bought some loose vintage carnival glass beads and a beautiful strand of hessonite garnets for under thirty dollars, and the owner Jill, was very kind...
