My husband and I were so excited to have a weekend away and try Thanksgiving away from home. The hype online about the "famous Thanksgiving feast at Sirens" definitely sold me and the $32 a plate pricetag made me think it would be quality. The good: a fantastic view!! The waitress was super nice and very attentive. The BAD: When we arrived, we were led into a dirty, cluttered dining room with weird lighting, mostly blank walls, and no music. The tables were naked except for sad little salt and pepper shakers. No ambiance was to be found, period. We were seated at 5pm, and most of the food was gone. The salad bar had no lettuce, and the hot food was almost all gone. There was no corn, there were a few pieces of turkey, and we got the last of the stuffing. I expected that there might be someone slicing and serving hot ham and turkey, but unfortunately the ham was sitting toward the end of line and was soggy in a mostly empty pan. The sweet potatoes were these coarse chunks literally floating in several inches of a sweet water....? And the deviled eggs were also, inexplicably, sitting in a puddle of water!? My husband tried the pie, but the best description we could come up with was the last dried out pie that one might find at Winco. Majority of the hot food was cold as the tea lights were not lit and the salad bar was haphazardly thrown onto the table, same as the smashed disserts.
I will stop. But OMG if you're going to charge that much at LEAST bring me some hot rolls to the table, and not make me pick from the last three rolls in a huge cold aluminum bowl. They were stale, by the way. I am so sad and I will leave now to go toast a bagel in...
Read moreWell I'm not sure if the foods good or not. I know their customer service is not very good though. When I first came in to get a menu the guy sees me come in and rather then greet me he goes around the corner and I can hear him filling and drinking a soda and then comes back out to greet me after a min or 2 of sitting there hearing him have his soda. priorities i guess. So already little irritated. Then the first number on their website is not the restaurant, not huge deal just little irritating. Then when I got transferred to the restaurant I was put on"hold". Only I wasn't on hold the phone just got sat down and I could hear the dishes crashing and staff talking and whatever other background sounds there was. Never heard of a hold button? I sat there for literally 8 min listening to this. Hung up and went to the restaurant. Sat in lobby for at least another 5 min before a lady came up and asked if there was anyone there for take out order. Me and another guy said no we needed to put an order in. So she took his order didn't say anything to me and just walked away. Then I sat for about another 5 min and left. Total of about half hour of my life trying to order food and never could. Ridiculous. I understand busy but at least acknowledge...
Read moreI want to say this place is amazing because of the view. I forgave them being understaffed. The bartender was doing her very best. I forgave the cold fish tacos. I figured with the staffing issues, they did the best they could. Even when I realized an ingredient or two were missing, I overlooked it. But then I was undercharged. Instead of charging me for the item I wasn’t charged for, my transaction was voided and rerun. Fine. But they both went through. The void didn’t happen. I called when I saw it pushed through and was told a manager would call me back. No one did. I called back the next day and was told that the credit card processor had poor customer service so I was better off calling my bank. Because I left a good tip, the amounts are very different, so the bank doesn’t see it as a double charge. And this place is telling me it’s too much work to try to fix this problem on their end. This is as scammy as I’ve ever seen a place run after a decade and a half in the service industry. The manager isn’t willing to even try to fix the issue, gave no apology, and told me they wouldn’t fix it “since the building was about to be knocked down.” Don’t let them steal your money while they’re...
