Wayfair did this longtime customer dirty. First of all, I ordered a sheet set labeled in the description âEgyptian cottonâ. When it came in, it was âlong stable cotton.â I didnât open the set but immediately got on a chat with a guy who basically told me it was close enough since it was âEgyptian cotton quality.â The best he could do was offer me a 25% refund. I asked for a second opinion but was rudely asked why. I told him it was false advertising for one thing. In the end, I had to accept the 25% or nothing.
After washing the sheets, they came out all wrinkled and stiff, very uncomfortable. I called Wayfair back and the lady told me the same thing- âEgyptian cotton qualityâ with an attitude like âwhatâs your problem?â I got nowhere so I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Wayfair challenged it and won, all because I accepted the 25% refund. It was a done deal or so it seemed.
I had to call Wayfair back to tell them what a rotten deal I had gotten stuck with and talked with a man named Jody. When he saw the personâs name on the chat, he said âOh, Jermaine. Thatâs the problem. Those guys from Jamaica donât know what theyâre doing. He should have sent you a return label immediately instead of giving you a 25% refund.â (I personally have no problems whatsoever with Jamaicans.) He proceeded to apologize all over the place and said I was right, he would give me a refund. No problem⌠except I would have to call my credit card company to close the dispute, then wait 3 months for it all to be processed. He encouraged me to call back after that time period if I hadnât gotten a refund. Of course, I never got the refund.
So I called back to find out my account was locked because they said they hadnât heard from my credit card company stating that I had closed the dispute. I was instructed to call the credit card company about the matter. So I did. I was told by the company that they had sent Wayfair a letter the very next day after I told them to close the dispute. So I called Wayfair back yet again and even sent them a photo of my letter from the company stating the dispute had been closed per my request. Guess what? Account is still locked.
I talked with a lady today that was able to unlock my account but since the transaction was so far out by this time a refund is unlikely. Do you see what they did? It seems to me I was purposely told to close the dispute and wait 3 months because then it would be outside the window of opportunity of ever getting a refund. Slick.
Theyâve since changed the description to âEgyptian like qualityâ on their website AND theyâve changed my invoice where the initial total I paid and the 25%ârefund I was given no longer show up. All it has is the balance which I have so desperately tried to get them to refund me.

All this order I made within period of 2-weeks apart. And thats where I made a biggest mistake on my life. Before I receive first order I kept ordering more and actually since first order it was a mess. I received 1/2 sofas with factory defects and I called in for return and ordered a different one instead. They never picked up the one that I had to return and never got the money back for it. Then they never delivered my coffee table and in my wayfair account said it was delivered. Then my dining chairs where delivered and left in the drive way and nobody ringed the bell or called in phone, while we have been inside home. Then dining table that originally supposed to come on 12/23 was pushed for second half of january and in backorder. Then another 2 armchairs that I ordered for different adress they messed up and impacted every single delivery. Drivers gone to my cousin's adress instead to mine for every single delivery they supposed to made and no delivery happened in time neither to my house in their first try despite everything was made clear on files in my account and I called in about 100 times to ensure they don't make the same mistake with following deliveries. Their customer servise hanged up on me after I waited 15-20 min on the phone after they put me in hold. what a poor customer service and delivery service. This is my first and very last time...

I was waiting for them until 12:40 so I Decided to call wayfair to figure out what was going on . The information I had was â Madam , your dresser didnât fit on the Truck and they wonât delivery it today , they rescheduled it to be delivered on Sunday from 10-2. This was what I got after 5 hours waiting for them đĄđ¤Ź.. no call, no txt or even an email letting me know about that . I said ok , letâs leave it for Sunday then ( what else I could do ?! ) , Today is Sunday and I got a call from them saying they wonât deliver my dresser today because they HAVENT GOTTEN my dresser.
