I will never forget this bad experience I had with them. It was on Christmas Eve last year (2012). I had a package that was sent to me that was supposed to have been delivered on the 23rd of December. So when I saw the mail lady go to the mailboxes to deliver the mail I waited at my home to see if she was going to deliver it or leave it in my mailbox. After she pulled off and left my neighborhood I went to my mailbox and she did not leave it inside of my mailbox. Nor did she EVER deliver it to my home. So I left and went to Church. The next day was Christmas Eve. This same woman had the nerve to deliver my piece of overnight mail around 8 p.m. By the time she got it to me it was too late for me to even think about spending my Christmas Money on anything!!!!! Not only did she NOT deliver the piece of mail that was only in a letter form, she LIED and said she attempted to deliver it to my home and nobody was home. That was a lie because I was home. My car was in the drive way. Even if there wasn't a car in my driveway, she was supposed to ring my door bell. She NEVER came to my home. When I questioned her about it on Christmas Eve, she was stunned that she was busted. The look on her face was 'priceless'. She really didn't have an answer as to why she said she passed by my home and nobody was home when I questioned her about it. At any rate the people at this location are really sorry. I see why they are closing down some post offices throughout the U.S.A.

It's over a year later. Today's date is August 11, 2015. I mailed something out to a P.O. box in Atlanta, GA on Thursday August 6, 2015 and for some reason it NEVER reached it's destination! Now I've been trying to call this sorry post office to find out why and their phone is off the hook! They are the WORST post office. I will now mail my stuff from the Atlanta Post Office down town or Mid town!

So I called the Lithonia post office and this immature young African-American Boy answered the phone. He was EXTREMELY RUDE and hung up in my face 4 times! They have the WORST Customer service! I'm NOT understanding how he ended up with a job in the post office! When I called the 5th time somebody else answered the phone and took down my information while his behind was in the back ground yelling that HE hung up on me! What kind of crap is that? I DO understand why they close down post offices. I pray they close that one down! People like his behind don't need to work at anybody's post office at any time! He is rude, arrogant, VERY immature! If you have any other post office to go to, I would advise you do that! The people at this post office are the WORST!!!! I will use another post office from now on! NOT 1 GOOD REVIEW!!!! I have had the same P.O BOX For OVER a year now... that I PAY For... but I have to have my mail go to a relative's house because they LIE... STEAL... AND DO NOT deliver to the P.O BOX but rather the House i moved from!!! WTH!!!! I have contacted the Post master in D.C. But all they do is contact the Half ASS Manager HERE & both Darren/Darryl & Ms. Jones do is "explain away" WITH a Smile ".. without a tracking number we cant help you"! B.S.! I've reported missing gun permits, ink cartridges, pay checks, driver's license, registration paperwork, Medical records, headsets, etc! THIEVES Work Here!!! If I could give this pitiful place a zero I would. Recently, the mail carrier placed my delivery in the wrong mailbox, and now it cannot be located. So someone else has my package. However, this is not the first time my packages stated delivered and I never received the delivery. I feel that the mail carriers are stealing packages. I am Not having another delivery sent to my address so it can be stolen again. This is the worst post office in Lithonia which needs to be shut down. If you don’t want your package deliveries being misplaced , stolen, and mishandled, don’t have it going to this location because they are incompetent thieves. Once again I didn’t receive something that was clearly displayed in my informed delivery; a check, I should have received the check April 8, but I still haven’t gotten it. I have another delivery for 8/12/2024 that the mail carrier stated was delivered to my mail box that I did not receive. So here we go again with another missing item not received from this post office. I am very tired of this nonsense, and will be contacting consumer affairs. Update: Another package stolen or misplaced by carrier Feb 26, 2025. Carrier stated package placed in parcel locker, but the package in the parcel locker for my address was someone who lives in another unit, and it was medication.
