Such a lovely store and a special location. I would love to offer a wonderful review, unfortunately I can’t. My girlfriends and I arrived for our annual Girl’s Weekend that we look so forward to year after year with careful planning and a selection of a place to visit. We checked into our hotel and couldn’t wait to go for a walk to check out the shops and local sites. This was our first stop and we were really enjoying every moment of it. There was a special glass I wanted for a very special friend to bring back as a gift. I was trying to move the boxes a bit to grab a fresh looking one from the back, unfortunately I dropped the display glass and I felt so awful. I offered to pay for it as a gesture. When I went to go buy the glass, I was being charged for both of them I had to decline, leave one and pay for the broken one, as it would have been a pricey purchase. I am sorry this is an awful business practice. I’m not a child, nor a mother with a kid running around, knocking things down. It was an innocent accident. I suggest you have a sign that says “ if you break it you pay for it.” May also suggest that your employees walk around greet people and offer to help out. This may avoid any possible breakage as well as offer excellent customer service and care. The suggestions are coming from someone who has a retail background for most of my life, additionally I am a middle-aged woman. I forget the name of nice lady who helped me and she felt terrible about the whole ordeal. We went back the second day to the shop as we all felt really bothered by it, I left my phone number and name with hopes of a phone call from the owner. I assume she/he did not find it Important enough to call me. Had you done so I may not be writing this review. Anyway I will be visiting the area again, unfortunately I won’t come back into your store. By the way, 3 stars is for a unique shop and the location. Please do better and...
Read moreCute store, definitely the lititz charm I've grown up to know. Was visiting from cali and my mom and I had to find a melon-baller fast. I told her zest would definitely have it. We walked in with a small time limit. My mom asked the lady working at the front "do you have a Mellon baller" and before my mom could get the whole sentence out, the cashier cur her off and said she was with a customer. Which is fine but the delivery was rude and we are also customers. We found what we were looking for in 5 seconds after trying to ask for guidance. When we got in line behind the customer who had been checking out since we walked in, the cashier seemed to take her time conversating as we waited. I understand customer service can be hard some days as I work in it. But to be rude and not correct yourself is a bit upsetting. Hope this can be corrected...
Read moreI love a kitchenware store so I was in heaven here. They had beautiful rolling pins that I did not buy because I knew I wouldn't use them but I could still admire them. I was also tempted by a shun knife but I got one recently and still haven't used it so I didn't get that, they have a nice selection of knives. I bought some new potholders that look like gloves you might want to wear out in the street. Hopefully they will not be too hard to get on and off when I'm cooking.
I did fall in love with a red Peugeot peppermill as well. But how many of those can one person have? You only really use one and I already have three.
It's definitely worth a trip into Zest when you are visiting Lititz. Be forewarned, you may buy stuff that you...
