Wish I would have listened to Lydia’s comment below about the cooking class not actually being a cooking class. It is definitely more of a watching someone else cook, not interactive and very small portions. Giving this 3 stars because everyone was nice and the place is cleanly. Room for improvement: please be direct and descriptive in stating whether or not attendees will actually get to do any cooking themselves (honestly probably not possible unless more stoves/ovens are installed since there is only one for the instructor and everyone is just sitting and waiting from a point of view where they can’t even actually see the food), what the portion size expectation is (people are spending a lot of money and leaving hungry when you can provide the expectation to begin with and they can come already having had eaten or make plans for food afterwards), and at the very least have the recipe printed out (so attendees can do their best to follow along with what the instructor is saying.) Most of all, and this is just the feedback for the chef: when being asked questions about preparing the dish please do not respond with YouTube channels that the attendees can watch and follow along with. This staple of the Heights neighborhood has not changed much since the new ownership. They are still offering local and national brands, many of the common brands, at a bit of a markup, which is understandable. IT is arranged in such a way that makes it a bit of fun to look at all of your options. Why only 1 star then? It has a lot to do with the staff. I love shopping at Eggshells! They always have that unique kitchen item I'm looking for... and definitely stocked with plenty of gorgeous pieces that I like to give as gifts! Whether its a sifter, or a great pair of knives, you'll find those, along with high quality pans, and incredible mixing bowls!
