I took my mother put for an "us" day and we decided to spend our time together there, let me just say how much FUN we had!! When you first arrive, they have signs to use the hand sanitizer provided 👍 and then greeted by an employee who ran through the options after we explained this was our 1st time. They have all kinds of ceramics to paint, from your basic ornaments, cups and animals, to kitchen trays/cutting boards, and bathroom accessories. They also have wooden door hangers, all different shapes and letters for mosaic designs as well as a sun catcher picture frames(made with paint and glass shards). They also offer group parties, classes and personalized silver jewelry.
We ended up going with mosaic, neither of us had experienced this before. After picking your base, I would say they have 50 or more choices of different color tiles, some glitter some metallic either way very beautiful! Anywho, they give you all the tools that you would need (glue, popsicle sticks, gloves and tile cutters if you need a smaller piece) I cut my thumb, cutting a big square into four squares... But that was only after I had cut about 50 squares. it's super fun super easy and they give you the grout to go home with because you have to wait 24 hours for your tiles to set in the glue. Or you can pay them $10 extra and they can grout it for you and you can come back and pick it up. I will post a picture below but mind you they are not grouted yet. If you pick to do a ceramic or something that has to be put in the kiln then you can come back and pick it back up later, I don't know if they offer shipping. Sorry this was so long but we had the best time! We spent around $90 for two mosaics but they are huge, and they have a wide range of prices. As little as $5 to $7 to as much as $52 and more. I definitely splurged for my mom of course LOL and If I didn't live out of state I would definitely take my kids there to have some inexpensive fun! The place was clean, very inviting and welcoming, friendly and very informative employees! we always had someone coming around asking if there was anything that we needed, I didn't expect that but it was...

We had the best experience at The Painted Pig while in town for a school trip! Paul went out of his way to accommodate our group, even rushing our order since we were only there for a week. He took the time to leave us thoughtful notes about our projects—explaining why certain things turned out the way they did and offering suggestions for how to improve next time. It was clear he genuinely cared about our experience and wanted us to be happy with our pieces.
His willingness to go above and beyond, even offering to help fix things if we’re ever back in town, made such an impression on us. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers and takes pride in their work, The Painted Pig is the place to go!...

I saw a nanny with several kids and they were engaged and immersed in the process. There was also a large group (10 or more) that went downstairs to work. A mother and her son came in and the boy was excited to be there.
All experience levels will find a home here as the staff are very helpful. One of them brought me a turntable and larger brushes for the oversized bowl I was working on.
Don't wear your Sunday best as you might get glaze on it.
This will be a regular activity for me.
I can't believe I didn't take any photos, but that just shows how engrossed I was...
