Arroyo Plaza — Local services in Livermore

Lots of parking, and lots of customers at Home Depot. Made a return, took forever until another cashier came to the counter, took over, & things went quickly at that point. Employees actually give advice now on project how- to's! This is a nice change from when you couldn't even find an employee in the floor! Huge selection, competitive prices. Nice garden center, too!

Baja Fresh, In n Out, Cold Stone, and THE ROCK. If you don't know about the rock, it's a completely unnecessary, large boulder at the entrance to the parking lot otw to Baja Fresh. That's a peculiar indent with this boulder at the far end, so that when a car cuts a tight right turn, the car will likely jump the curb and oftentimes, hits the rock. There have been NUMEROUS collisions with the rock now for many years. Whoever owns that parking lot is absolutely aware of this, and must own a tow truck company or else they'd have removed the boulder & eliminated the deep projection of this curved "peninsula" from the parking lot. Simply no excuse for this. Assuming since this is private property, that Livermore police or City Hall hasn't five anything about it, but it's just ridiculous & so unsafe. No idea how much damage had resulted to vehicles because of this innane...

Not bad for a Walmart. It's an interesting combination of businesses at this location incl. Kohls, Home Depot, In 'n Out, Coldstones ice cream & Office Max. I don't tell my family when I shop at Walmart & am always careful to not use any of their bags bc that's 'proof'.. They are anti Walmart anti slavery, very pro working wage which is not to say that I am not any of those things as well. However, I've gotten friendly w/ a # of employees & I have come right out to ask if they liked working at Walmart, do they treat them well & if they get their breaks. Not a single person ever said they were unhappy & I was told they made more income working at Walmart than other local businesses incl a well known local drug store. Walmart is like a siren calling to me & I can't resist. Their prices truly are lower than anyone els3. However, never park you car near the fence at the far end of the parking lot as there is a huge homeless enccam0ment there & there have been issues. However, Walmart has a security guard in a well marked pick up that circles the parking lot constantly. They do not tolerate people to beg outs8d3 their doors. I've never had any problems at this...

This place is ok when it's not busy. Has nice variety of stores that my family frequent. But for some reason, the parking gets a bit jumbled or disorganized? Mostly due to driver being impatient or not communicating where they are going or lack of courtesy. Partly due to pedestrian as well - not paying attention or just walk in front of vehicle which causes a lot of issues. We are new in the area and noticed drivers are a bit aggressive - they honk or get too upset and get in confrontational instead of de-escalating the issue?? I don't know. Just my personal observations since we are new in the area maybe we see it more?? Otherwise this place is ok. Just a bit busy or...
