Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Livermore

I came here because they had a Despicable Me 4 promotion going on and I love minions. However I just have to note that the minion flavor is absolutely disgusting. 😭 It's supposed to be marshmallow, and it really does taste like a marshmallow. However, WHY WOULDN'T YOU PICK LIKE ANY OTHER FLAVOR. Banana? An INCREDIBLY viable option. Yellow marshmallow really makes it seem like you're eating a literal minion, which is really off-putting and it just doesn't taste good. Thankfully, they still serve the ice cream in the minion cup (for now) even if you don't get the minion flavor.

Also, I've always felt kind of negatively about the vibe in Coldstone- it's kind of grimy, poorly-lit, and outdated. It doesn't really make you want to stay in the building very long. I would say they should replace a lightbulb and then redecorate or something.

As a lactose-challenged individual, I was a bit disappointed with the lactose-free options, but at least they existed and they was not an upcharge. Yes, I ate the ice cream, and yes, my tummy hurts. That's not Coldstone's fault, I just enjoy ice cream. Also, the ice cream was kinda melty and really stretchy which was again kinda off putting. I mean, it tasted good, but there's better ice cream places out there.

This place is so hit or miss. It’s always a toss up if you’re gonna get toppings mixed in or half-a$$ed clumps. Tonight i had preordered at 8pm for pickup at 8:27. I showed up at 8:28. There was a family ordering ice cream and 3 other people waiting for their prepaid orders. I waited my turn. only, my turn never came. no one talked to me. they helped everyone else. confirmed their order or at least asked their name. however, they just assumed the last ticket was mine (which it was) but i was left wondering in the corner if they even had my order started (which they did not). I finally got my order at 8:50. 20 minutes after the pickup time and almost an hour after i ordered. i had groceries (now melted) and dinner (now cold) in my car. I had just gotten off work and wanted to go home. not sure how i ended up waiting SO long. longer than any other stop for me tonight and it was for PREMADE ice cream! so disappointed in this location. the one in dublin is usually better but parking is worse. pick your poison i guess.

Edit: They also forgot one of my toppings. Or just knowingly didn’t give it to me...

I ordered from here the other day. Same thing I always order, sweet cream with oreo cookies. It's my favorite, I've been ordering it for years. When I recieved it, I was not satisfied. It did not taste good at all. I am unsure if ingredients have been changed? Or maybe my order was done incorrectly? It tasted like sweet cream with some other flavor that I did not ask for nor like. Also, my oreos were not fully smashed. They were really big pieces and it looked as tho it was just cut in half and thrown in there. Its only 2 oreos they put in, so it's obvious to see it was not crushed correctly. Will never go back again, it is...
