I was very disappointed in the NYE bowling we did this year. First off when I went to check in they insisted I hadn't yet paid, thankfully I brought my receipt with me as proof ( that was quite embarassing for me). Then our strobe lights in the alley section we were in were not on, I had to ask 2 times and finally an hour into our session they got turned on. And most annoying was the guy talking over the loud speaker announcing the competition going on at the entire other end of the alleys. We couldn't even hear or enjoy the music playing, I asked the guy at the counter if the announcing was happening all night that we couldn't hear the music and that we were not involved in that. It ruined the night! I would suggest getting a portable speaker to announce game competitions for just that area where it is happening so the rest of the entire bowling alley does NOT have to hear whats going on as the main focus of the place. We paid $105 and brought all the kids to enjoy the night and personally we were all very disappointed. I asked for a refund and the manager James refused to give me a refund as he said we bowled and we got what we paid for. We went there for the lights and videos too which were advertised in the NYE package and we couldn't hear the music at all over the announcing a penny for this pin and a dollar for that pin, very disappointing. I have reached out to him several times with no responce. Horrible customer service and a terrible way to run a business. If he would have went about my concerns a more professional way then I would have tried the bowling alley again, I even made suggestions but nope he just wants to make excuses and be rude. So unprofessional, I will Never go there again! I would also suggest the owner Kim take a look at her management team and make some changes to focus and improve customer service. Is $105 really worth a big company like Granada Bowl loosing customers, I would think not but oviously...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the service we received for having a birthday party here at Granada Bowl. Our designated booked lines weren't ready at the start time (and I had to approach front desk several times about it before finally something was done about it), the assigned person was never there during entire party, never asking if we need anything else. If I needed anything, had to walk myself all the way to the front desk, wait there in line to ask a question or request something. The area designated for the parties is very dark with some glowing party lights (no quality pictures will come out), and beware of step down - it is not clearly marked and because of poor lightning myself and several other guests were tripping there. Apparently management is aware of it because they said :"oh yeah, people complain all the time and fall few times, but we are up to code"..The food order wasn't completed as ordered : some items were never brought up when they were due and we had to walk to the front desk, wait in line, to get things done..Bumpers were not "available " for one of my children because they were "too tall" and could "damage the rail"...which made kid very unhappy, but management just don't care if clients not happy, right?!! oh yeah, and they will make you pay gratuity on the WHOLE thing: the bowling, the food (which included tax) and factual missing service.. We wont come back, not for party,...
   Read moreSome âSupervisorâ
A few of my coworkers and I had wanted to go out, get a drink and do a bit of bowling. Something calm and fun. 3 of us showed up and we were unsure how many were going to make it, roughly 10 people. We approach the counter and inform the gentleman weâd like to play one game and what would be the best option for the party weâd have. The gentleman responded and the man next to him at the other register adds, âThatâs the best itâs going to getâ with what I perceived was attitude. The conversation continues as we decide whether we should wait or just start a game. This man adds again, âWait until they get hereâ Slight commentary that came off very stern and rude, I looked over at my coworkers and they were picking up the rudeness as well. Again he must chime in and sharply say, â Letting you know right now I wonât have anything by 5â. All of this was useful information but sternly said and he was overall rude as he spat his words. We requested to speak with his supervisor only to find out HE was the supervisor. We asked for someone higher but stated they were not there and wasnât very useful at providing a way for us to contact them. I have had some fun times here with friends but this was my first encounter with him and he made it an unpleasant experience. Extremely disappointing, not excited to return if thatâs the service that will...
