Carnegie Park — Attraction in Livermore

Easy to find location near downtown to meet up with friends or family for a quick picnic lunch. Picnic tables on site. This park does not have a playground, so cannot really recommend for families with young children looking to play. It's the site of a local historical museum, though, which has interesting permanent and rotating exhibits. This park can be very busy during the Farmers Market on Thursday afternoon/eves (seasonal), but has not been crowded at other times we have stopped by except during scheduled events. Not really sure why this is a park to be honest. I suppose it's nice to walk around but I really don't get a feeling that this building is historical in any way. The occupant inside changes from time to time; right now it's an art museum. The town farmers market usually sets up around the perimeter.
