Love! Love! Love! Livermore downtown area! It's within walking distance from my apartment at Mill Springs and provides me with a fantastic array of restaurants, wine, movies, shopping, theater, art, and events. My boyfriend and I often walk our dogs downtown. With its lazy pace and relaxing atmosphere it makes it an idealIt environment for pets to join you for a lunch out on the town. And it is wonderful how many of the businesses welcome dogs and provide bowls of water and hand out treats to their furry customers. Livermore downtown is one of my favorite places to grab a bit to eat at one of the many wonderful restaurants or enjoy a glass of your favorite wine, or sample some new local vineyards or old world favorites with a custom flight of wines personally selected for you at the Wine Store. Just ask them to select a flight based on your preferences, and one of the charismatic and knowledgeable wine experts will be happy to help you indulge yourself in liquid bliss... these ladies know their wine, and will make your wine tasting experience relaxing, fun and enjoyable! So many great places... Check it out and find some favorite little places of your own, you'll be...

Walk in fountain means your little one is guaranteed instant new friends to play with, and also means grown ups unburdened by too much dignity can cool off and continue to enjoy walking even on horribly hot days. Plenty of shops and restaurants for every budget. As we've gotten older, physical exercise has become medically more important, so we plan everything around being able to move. If we need to scale up the fun or the walking, there are miles of trails and plenty of wineries close by. Plenty of free parking. Our favorite rush hour traffic strategy coming back from the Bay is to stop in Livermore, park at one end of downtown, walk through, grab dinner, walk to a movie, then walk back to our car. So much better than parking bumper to bumper on the freeway. Any time of year, any number of steps to meet our daily goal, any combination of people, any budget for fun, we can count on an interesting, pleasant, well shaded walk through...
Read moreGreat farmer's market at Carnegie Park. Country music band was playing live under the gazebo. Patrons brought their own chairs, drank wine, snacked & listened to the music while others shopped for fresh fruits & veggies, along with appetizers, breads, and some arts & crafts. Prices are competitive with regular prices at grocery stores, but it's nice to buy from local farmers. Sometimes samples are available to taste the fruit before buying. Nice way to spend a summer evening with family or friends strolling the booths. Some metchants take credit cards, but many...
