DO NOT SHOP WITH PURPOSEBUILT YOU MIGHT JUST HAVE YOUR VEHICLE TOWED BY THEM. I work with businesses in Livermore as a vendor and I had just so happened to park in their parking lot to visit a local vendor without any incident. I had planned to visit Purpose Built to shop with them for some items I needed for my new business venture so when I had to visit the nearby vendor a 2nd time I thought I could visit my client and then visit Purpose Built afterwards, I was wrong. After my client visit I come back to my vehicle to put some gear away and so I can go check out the store and I come back to my vehicle missing. It had been towed without warning after 1 hour and 17 minutes. I tried talking to the manager and she just said I was towed because the towing company thought I wasn’t a purpose built customer and the lot is now private. Not a care that I planned on shopping there or that I was towed without any notice or warning. She didn’t care. I reached out on social media and someone from purpose built said they have a drug problem in the back of the store and people from a nearby apartment complex were parking overnight all the time so they had to do something about it. So because of the drug and apartment problem you take it out on new customers…$580 to get my car back and now I will never set foot in that store and you...
Read moreHi, I want to firmly address the inaccuracies in your response. I was not parked overnight—my vehicle was towed after being in your lot for just 1 hour and 30 minutes. I have attached photo evidence from the towing company itself, which includes legal documentation and timestamps clearly proving this.
Additionally, I was in your store that day as a paying customer before going to eat nearby. The fact that I was towed shortly after shopping at your business makes this situation even more inappropriate and unacceptable.
When I spoke directly with the towing company, they stated my car was towed because it had been parked for “over an hour”—not for overnight parking or for blocking any event. This contradicts your claim and highlights how misleading your signage and enforcement policy truly are.
If you’re towing vehicles for such short durations, it’s your responsibility to provide crystal-clear signage. Right now, your lack of transparency and poor communication are causing unnecessary conflict with the community. If this isn’t addressed, it’s going to cost you the respect and support of the town...

I take my kids out to dinner every thursday night, and im always in there buying a new knife, boots, sun glasses, Wranglers, Hydroflask. Go in and buy a First responder support tshirt! All the proceeds go straight to the local fire department!!! These folks live in the community, work in the community, and give back to the...
