I've shopped at this smaller HEB several times to get my usual groceries without issue. I recently bought some tenderized beef that looked fine. However when I opened the package to slice the meat, it was black between the pieces underneath. I returned the meat and bought another package that appeared very fresh and well within the sell-by-date. Took it home and opened it to slice for dinner and found that the undersides of the pieces were dark gray. Had to drive back again to get a refund. The manager didn't even apologize for the inconvenience or wasted time and gas. I'll never buy meat here again.

They do not stock their shelfs correctly or price things correctly. Nor will they honor the price when they do price/stock things incorrectly. Also the staff all left their post to try to witness a car accent in the parking lot with customers waiting to pay for their items. Worst customer service. WORST HEB EVER

Clean, good service. Kind of small compared to a larger size in a metro area. Also has a very extensive beer and wine selection. Fresh produce and very good meat selection. Usually the gas is a competitive price. A good choice if Walmart is just too much that day.

Well,I can tell you that going thru a hurricane really sucks. I can also tell you that the next two to three days of living can really test your strength and faith. I recently had mine tested with hurricane Beryl. Although my mom had warned me over and over,I was convinced that it wasn't going to be a big deal. I was wrong. My mistake had me sitting in HEB parking lot with no fuel. I had a little money but the whole town of Livingston seemed to be out of electricity, therefore, no gas in the whole town. That did not stop HEB from opening their doors. Although no frozen/ cold foods were sold, I was able to get bread and peanut butter. I wasn't the only person to come in,honestly for a minute,I thought the whole town had come in. Yes,you may have guessed that the lines to check out were across the store.. well,I had time on my hands so I picked the longest one and resigned myself for the wait. To my surprise, the line seemed to just start moving very fast. Before I knew it,I was next in line behind a woman and ,I believe, her mother. The hero working the cash register was a young woman named Alma. I guess I never really put thought into who was working,as long as I was able to get my stuff. Now that I think about it,the people working there must've been hot, tired,( they also had to go through the hurricane),and probably very annoyed at all people. Looking at little Alma, you would never be able to tell. Because the mother,( of the duo) that was in front of me, decided she needed some cigs..her daughter,( was probably caregiver position), had stormed out of the store, mad because mom needed the cheapest cigs she could get,and was asking a lot of questions, successfully stopping the line from moving. As I watched, the cashier Alma, handled the lady with the utmost respect, and the lady left the store very happy. She did not try to rush her like I probably would have. So,in trying times people say the first responder people are heros. In many ways they are. But,for me that day,my hero was a cashier in HEB named Alma. I'd like to tell her thank you for making my faith in humanity shine through like sun light after the...

Aww one of the lowest priced stores and its sister stores in Houston beats all the rest for sure. But they do have their issues such as the treatment of employees. With all their effort to be one of the lowest priced grocery chains they lose two stars for the lack of good business ethics towards a lot of their employees. They have a horrible turn over rate of hires. They use a point system and if one receives 5-6 negative stars they are fired. And the negative points sometimes are not the fault of the employee. Example; if someone was in an accident and ended up in a hospital if they are unable to show up for work the very next day they receive a negative star and continue to receive them as long as they are out or finally get them to stop by fighting not to be fired and halting the stars by finally being able to bring in legal documentation from a Dr. Then they have the indecency of making an employee work more hours to reduce the negative stars, which is no better than enslaving one. I have witnessed some abusive and rude employees which hold a meaningless title which supposedly gives them a little more power over everyone else, but you find that in every business, right! The only thing HEB has going for them which is keeping them in business is the lower prices they offer in comparison to their rivals. Without HEB one would be stuck with Kroger, bleh!! One has to eat and one has to save money, so I guess it...

This H-E-B is on the smaller side compared to other locations, but they still manage to carry a good variety of essentials. However, one downside is that they don’t have a deli section where you can grab freshly made sandwiches, which was a bit disappointing. They do offer premade sushi, but I had trouble finding other quick meal options.

This was our first visit, and I had heard that their prices were supposed to be pretty reasonable. After browsing around, I’d say they are fairly comparable to other grocery stores in the area—nothing significantly cheaper or more expensive. The store is located in a busier part of town, so naturally, it tends to get quite crowded, especially during peak hours.

One thing I did like is that they have a selection of live plants out front, which adds a nice touch. However, they don’t carry fruit trees, which I was hoping to find. Also, not all the plants have price tags, so if you’re interested in buying one, you may have to go inside to ask, which can be a bit of a hassle.

Another interesting find was their small selection of exotic fruits. While it’s not a huge variety, it’s nice to see some unique options that you might not find at every grocery store. Overall, this location is convenient for quick shopping trips, but if you’re looking for a larger selection or a full-service deli, you might need to visit a...
