Since Acme took over the difference is emence. The prices always high but it was for a higher quality, not just in merchandise but personnel. I never ever have complained of any grocery store. But there is a man behind deli counter that is so unpleasant and arrogant he makes me feel like he's doing me a favor. He rolls his eyes and sighs in disgust. I have spoke to a manager but apparently eventhough this guy belongs in the back end of store, he remains at the deli. I also used to buy my lottery tickets at the customer service desk but no one is ever there. Ever. That's a sure sign no one cares and the store is turning in an Aldi type store. Today I again tried to find someone at customer service and as i was walking away an employee walked to the desk. She said she didnāt work at the Desk and what did I need. I handed her my lottery tickets, she said i should check them myself. I said I'd go elsewhere. And I did. What a shame to ruin this once high end store.
I'm now responding responding to kings. Everyone talks about the deli guy. I spoke to manager twice. As customer service if on a rare occasion someone is there he's behind a closed door and seems annoyed to be bothered too. It's just not kings anymore It's Acme with high prices. Even in produce the dates are the next day. And of course the self check outs with 1cashier if you're lucky. Shop Rite has an equal kosher...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a plant based diet and like to cook from scratch, so I think this is not the place for me⦠Tiny produce department & the prices on produce are way too high to buy any more than just a couple pieces of fruit or vegetables. I need to make full meals from produce. Occasionally Iāve picked up items-on-the go from the prepared foods selections, and the taste was good, so I was thinking it might be nice to have my holiday table catered by this particular Kings... then yesterday I went there and noticed thereās huge rodent traps surrounding the building. If you know the behavior of rodents, especially mice, you know they get into everything in a kitchen. The thought is really off-putting for a place that does lots of prepared food & catering, but I guess if they do have a rodent issue Iām glad that they ARE doing something vs. brushing it under the rug? I donāt know, it just really made me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLike Whole Foods but with a local store feel. Big but not so big that you feel overwhelmed when you are in the store. Great quality and everything here is clean and maintained well. Staff is also friendly. The meat dept is not very extensive but surprised to find wagyu/Kobe beef patties. Took off one star for this since it would've been great to have found a good working butcher. If they did have one, he must have been hiding cause I couldn't find anyone when I was there. Would've like to find some "prime" grade meats here. Besides the comfortable shopping atmosphere, the made to order pizza is a great excuse for us to drop by here. It keeps us coming back to this place and enables us to find other nice surprises when we come. Like $1.99 noosa yogurt when it is on sale. They also have a great deli, which I find is a must for any store...
