I reached out to AMC after having serious trouble opening/closing/locking my patio door and they put me in touch with Val from their team. He was very responsive and was able to order parts for the door based off the photos I sent him. He reached out at every step to let me know he found the parts, ordered them, received them and was ready to repair my door. My appointment was set just a couple of days after he received all the parts. He was very polite upon entering my home and wore booties over his shoes and cleaned up when he was finished. He talked me through what he was doing (he had to readjust hinges to compensate for the older door) and made sure that I felt comfortable with the new lock and handle before he left. Professional, Responsive and Great Value We called Val at AMC Windows & Doors LLC to service and fix our Anderson Patio door. The door is 23 years old and needed replacement hinges and a multipoint locking mechanism keep the existing frame and hardware of the door. Val asked if we could send him some pictures of the door and locking mechanism. After sending him the pictures, we immediately got the quote for the work. The quote was extremely reasonable for the replacement parts and labor vs. having to replace the entire door. Val showed up on time, worked hard and completed the project quickly and as scheduled. Awful customer service. Worst of my life. I have a broken Andersen window and they are not willing to make a service call although I offered to pay a service fee for the visit. If you are connected to Val and you have a small job you may as well just move on. Total lack of interest in service and simply strings you along for two weeks before telling you sorry, The excuse is not knowing the product # of the window. I thought they were in the window business but apparently they are not. If you move on with them best of luck. I wasted a good two weeks...
